          Pros

The people can be fun be prepared to drink and happy hour to fit in though! Benefits are good.

          Cons

Must drink the koolaid to truly fit in. Koolaid includes alcohol (which is not good for sober people). Do more with less people approach which is hard for employees.

            Pros

One of the greatest parts of working for Pro Service is that the company is very family oriented. My time of employment with the company has not been that long and I feel excited and ready to come to work everyday, knowing that my team will be there to support me. Another reason why I love working for Pro Service is the management; my manager always gives me an opportunity to grow and improve which outshines any other employer that I have worked with. Lastly, the company as a whole is very supportive and never fails to jump on any task that is given throughout the entire organization. I have never worked with such a responsive and attentive company!

            Cons

I have been working with Pro Service for a few months now and have yet to find something that I dont like about the company. Pro Service cares about their employees and often goes the extra mile to ensure that we are well taken care of!

              Pros

I have been working at ProService for 3 years. In those 3 years, I have gained a lot of great work experience. I have been able to grow in my profession and develop the skills needed to excel at my job. I love the culture and support that I receive from my co-workers and management. ProService is a great place to work at, whether you are just starting a new career or looking to advance your current occupation.

              Cons

A downside to working at ProService is that we generally work in small teams. While this works a majority of the time, ProService is a fast paced environment, which can sometimes make the workload seem heavy.

                Pros

It's very common to have a team that is unbalanced, where only a few contribute more than the others. However, I see our team bonding stronger and collaborating to push each other to tackle the hardships. If you do payroll tax related work, you would know that the IRS and the states are in chaos since Covid. Even if the agencies do not answer our calls or respond to our inquiries, our team still continuously puts in the effort.

                Cons

Even when our team does our work and put in the time to respond to the tax issues, I do not think our workload is getting smaller. However, this is not because our team lacks competence, knowledge or effort. I just find it a hard time for payroll tax accountants as the IRS and the states are backed up.

                  Pros

I’ve been at ProService for a little over a year and can’t say enough great things about my experience. Coming to PSH was the best career move I’ve ever made. It starts with senior leadership and their dedication to a high performing but employee-centric culture. Great work-life balance. Compensation is fantastic, especially for Hawaii, and opportunities for growth come quicker than they do at most other companies of their size in the state. Come to ProService if you want to work for a mission driven company where you will expand your skills/knowledge, work collaboratively to achieve big, rewarding goals, and be a part of a truly infectious culture.

                  Cons

I only wish I had joined sooner.

Opportunities for growth are a top priority for us, and we are glad to hear that you have experienced them at a quicker pace compared to other companies in our state. Pros

In my experience working at ProService the biggest pros would be the culture and value. Although the company has many smaller departments they encourage and engage the organization to collaborate together. With the many departments ProService has, there is always room for growth and management is very open to supporting you in your career path. The company works with employees to ensure a good work life balance. Not to mention the view from the office, definite plus.

                    Cons

The work is very fast paced and constantly changing. Multitasking is a huge factor and at times could seem like the workload is heavy.

im not sure but I feel embarrassed for randomly messaging a connection in LinkedIn and asked if he can refer me to the job that Im interested in at his company. this is my fist time doing this in my entire career of 17 yrs. based on some post on LI it is not unusual to ask for referral but will help you also get interviewed, i have an initial interview with the HR last Monday and I send a follow up email to her but no reply so I thought of messaging a connection in LI. thoughts?

Do recruiters actually look at linked in profiles after a candidate has applied for a job? My resume is the most updated document, not so much my linked in profile. Is it a must to update my profile (with info about what was done in each role) or does a well executed resume suffice?
