I have been working at Protective Life full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Good overall hours and benefits

    Cons

No real consistency with managers actually managing vs delegating those duties down. They can't fill all APD claims adjuster positions. Word of mouth and the production/quality systems are extremely poor. Upper management treats this block of business like a call center when the clients are not traditional in call center terms. HR is very slow to react to requests even after follow ups.

    Advice to Management

Speed up the changes. See past the minute and look forward. Many employees know what is going to happen before hand. When SLA's rise it's because management failed to listen to the worker bees. These issues make referring others very iffy.

I have been working at Protective Life full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I love the flexibility and the amount of PTO days as well as the other benefits like 401k match and pension plans. They are a great company that offers the employee options that helps to better the work life balance.

    Cons

I see little room for vertical climb in my current position. I also see compared to other companies, the pay is a little less than going rate. This may be because we have such great benefits.
