    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Proteostasis Therapeutics as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

I enjoyed autonomy and respect for what I accomplished, even though I was a contract scientist. I felt valued for what I contributed, and there was a feeling of collaborative support that I came to depend on and that fostered me to try new things, and even risk voicing my opinion. This was a change from what I had previously experienced in big pharma.

    Cons

It is a small place, with many undercurrents and many changes. I kept myself busy with the job at hand, and tried to ignore all the rumors and misery that others felt. Ironically, the smaller the place, I have found, the more intense the politics.

    Advice to Management

You have some excellent, driven and talented scientists who I worked with and would never want to see discouraged. They bear the brunt of the work, and so keep them motivated and rewarded.

I have been working at Proteostasis Therapeutics full-time

    Pros

Flexible schedules and a lot of opportunity to advance if management loves you.

    Cons

Stressful environment where everyone is on edge

    Advice to Management

Deliver on your promises. If you promise cultural improvement to employees make sure your follow through, there are too many empty promises and people turning on others.
