I worked at Protingent Staffing as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Protingent does exactly what they say. In addition they have VERY attractive benefits.

    Cons

Not super competitive salary wise but that is kind of the nature of the beast in their market.

    Advice to Management

Better follow up with Microsoft contractors that have rolled off after 18 months for new positions with Protingent

I have been working at Protingent Staffing as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

    PTO
    Darn good health insurance
They deliver what they agree to

    Cons

Lower than average pay compared to other Microsoft contract companies

    Advice to Management

Keep delivering what you say you are going to deliver. That is very important to contractors

I worked at Protingent Staffing (Less than a year)

    Pros

What can I say. They offer 100% paid HSA health plan for the employee, and paid holidays and accrued PTO. Protingent offers a fair wage and have great people.

    Cons

I cannot think of any cons.

I worked at Protingent Staffing as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Provided a contract gig to a large company.
    People were mostly friendly.
Process of being hired on was simple and straightforward.

    Cons

They aren't transparent with their pay. Ie how much they charge the company they staff you at vs how much they pay you. I've had friends say they took at least 20 per hour from their check. Which is unacceptable because they really don't do anything for you as an engineer except provide you with a computer and a sub par health and benefits plan, for 20 an hour you should get a lot more. They make you sign an entirely unenforceable non compete agreement.
Overall a pretty greedy and shady company, i wouldn't contact through them again

    Advice to Management

Be transparent with your billing. Or just only take a reasonable cut of pay. 20/hr is totally unreasonable

    Pros

nice people, Christmas party, usually get paid on time, co-op employee program

    Cons

Little innovation, set in older ways of doing things.

    Advice to Management

Watch your overhead. Spending too much on office space.

I have been working at Protingent Staffing full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Start up feel and Culture without obsession over metrics... really. Beer Fridays. Employee owned. Boss is really laid back yet inspires higher level performance, again, without driving metrics down your throat.

    Cons

trying to find cons... agency recruiting is a grind, but still better than other agencies... seriously.

    Advice to Management

    Don't change.

I have been working at Protingent Staffing full-time

    Pros

The ability to join a growing team of professionals and really feel included in the operations and experiences of a rapidly expanding company are great. This is a fast paced environment that has always kept me focused and challenged. HR has been wonderful and are always there to help with any questions or needs I might have. The leadership is all about pushing this company forward to enhance the lives of the employees.

    Cons

Growing pains can be tough! As Protingent goes from a small local family operated company to a multi million dollar ESOP staffing firm there have been some challenges.

    Advice to Management

Do not lose sight of the reason people love working for us and with us - the close knit vibe and 'we actually care' attitude. As the company grows it can be easy to let the little guy fall behind.

I have been working at Protingent Staffing as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Adept recruiters, helpful & friendly support staff, good benefits and salary. My recruiter was smart, and paid close attention to finding jobs that matched specifically what I wanted.

    Cons

They take a percentage of your hourly rate, and this amount is not exposed to you. That means you don't actually know how much you're "worth" in subsequent full time negotiations etc.

    Advice to Management

Issue fleece jackets instead of vests if you actually want people to wear them. It's free advertising.
