      Great place to work

Oct 21, 2019 - Anonymous Employee in Denver, CO
      Recommend

      Business Outlook

      Pros

      * Work with great people * Management is friendly and always accessible * Easy place to come to work for everyday * Management includes employees and makes them part of the brand/vision of the company, instead of just saying "here it is, deal with it" * Lots of committees for employees to join to keep them involved

      Cons

      * Some employees have different managers and are not held to the same professional standards as the rest of the office, which causes disruptions and make it difficult to do your work. * Pay in Operations is based on level/title and not on effort and actual work done. * Promotions/benefits/perks are geared towards Practice employees, while Operations are either not included or left in the dark. * Extensive training/courses/certifications, etc for Practice employees, with TBD for Operations. * Expense/reimbursement software and policy are HORRIBLE. The software is outdated and not user friendly at all, it takes a minimum of 5 days to get expense reports looked at, and the rules/policy changes depending on who is looking at the report. Not user friendly at all.

      Pros

Great people and culture. Leadership is very approachable.

      Cons

Have limited choice in the work you do. It is not the most fulfilling but can be flexible, and my work life balance has been pretty good.

Work to create your own path ...

Oct 21, 2019 - Consultant in Salt Lake City, UT

      Business Outlook

      Pros

      - Good system of support in place for your voice to be heard (executive advisor and career advisor). You need to persistent in talking to these advisors to get your needs met. Just like you, they are very busy in their role and if you are not persistent with your career needs, they will not be addressed. It'll feel repetitive and annoying to do, but you need to consistently bring up your needs to management. - Great people! The office is full of nice people that I'd be happy to hang out with outside of work. - Paternity and maternity leave were just upped from 1 week/4 weeks respectively to 10 weeks for both.

      Cons

      - Difficult to obtain a true variety of work. The SLC office is heavily audit-based with a large pool of SOX work. Some of the "variety" that is offered is not vastly different than the SOX work done by most employees. - Foundations program does not appear to be offering a true variety of work for its members. It is meant to give exposure to a variety of different solutions, but SLC foundations program members have only been on SOX projects. - The benefits are not great (i.e. health, 401k). They may be industry standard, I'm not sure about that, but they are still not great.
