Work life balance; flexibility; opinions are heard top/down; performance reviews thorough; bonuses reflected on personal and company performance; work on what you want to work on, request specific jobs or job types; co-workers are big factor, variety of backgrounds and personalities great to meet and work with from around the firm not just office wide.

Cons

Office technology and office seating/desk arrangement not great; difficulty meeting other people throughout the firm when majority of employees traveling and on-site 90% of the time;

Pros

Protiviti has a great culture for a consulting firm. They pride themselves in not overworking their consultants and putting value in work life balance. Everyone I interacted with really gets along with just about everyone and overall it is a positive environment.

Cons

The cons are that if you are in any portion of the business that isn't audit related then you are probably being underpaid and are giving up a higher salary for a positive culture.

Pros

Protiviti has a great culture that makes you feel like a valued employee. There's a lot of variety and flexibility. Also a clear path to promotions. Management is very accessible and they encourage personal growth and improvement as well as maintaining a good work-life balance.

Cons

The 401k match is pretty low (only about 2%)

The people and culture. I am not just another number or body to work to death here. I constantly feel valued and the work life balance here is amazing.

The way they are still finalizing the setup and layout of their foundations program

Advice to Management

The foundations program should be optional. Some people already know what they want and don’t care to try things in other areas. 401k match could be better.

Pros

Emphasis on a collaborative environment with generally highly involved and responsive management, including upper levels of management. Employees are able to carve out the career path they seek and are encouraged to be involved in thought leadership and community development opportunities. Work/life balance is typically adhered to more than at other consulting firms.

Cons

Most time is spent on client sites so at times it is difficult to develop a sense of team connection outside of direct projects.

Advice to Management

Continue to take an active approach to developing advisees and encourage them to take be proactive in shaping the activities of the firm outside client work.
