    Positive Outlook

I worked at Provenance Consulting as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Amazing group of coworkers who were very talented, outgoing, and welcoming. The vacation time for full time employees was very enticing as well. Very friendly and accessible ownership as well. Smaller company so everyone knows everyone which makes the place like a very large family.

    Cons

The work for an engineering intern can be extremely unrewarding. As an engineering intern you hope to be able to work with some math and science, but you can very easily get stuck working with nothing but data sheets.

    Advice to Management

Allow your interns to have some flexibility in which department they work. If an intern excels and enjoys a particular position let them continue to explore that field. An the same for the opposite. If a worker is miserable at a position, let them try something different. I think it is important for an intern at a company be able to walk away thoroughly satisfied with their experience.

    Pros

Lateral organizational structure with site/client-specific teams; people- and family-oriented company culture; competitive salary; generous starting PTO; easy approval and support for professional and industry-related memberships, conferences, and meetings; no bureacracy.
