I have been working at Providence Health & Services full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Better options and opportunity for patients and employees. Good benefits just needing lower deductible and approval to receive care from doctors in our own office.

    Cons

Too compartmentalized. Our smaller company recognized and welcomed growth. They encouraged cross training amongst departments. Material was provided to all areas so everyone was in the know and could assist a patient practically from start to finish. Now it’s all separated, patients just passed down the line to another voice on the other line and another. We never know if there have been issues with billing unless... someone

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Providence Health & Services full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great place to work for salary and benefits. They also really believe in promoting from within so the potential for career growth is high.

    Cons

Constant money issues (some of which they have no control over) lead to layoffs pretty consistently.

    Advice to Management

    Get your finances in order.

I worked at Providence Health & Services full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Flexible self-scheduling, great benefits, matching 403B, HSA acct w/ both employer & employee contributions available, Double time pay for full-time employees who work over their FTE, very close-knit/family atmosphere. Great place to work.

    Cons

Providence Centralia seems to be moving towards a more corporate business model like the larger hospitals which will really be a disservice to the staff & community.
