What’s the best way to have a lack of compensation and incentive conversation in your department? I went above and beyond for years doing extra work, organizations etc and nothing has been reflected in pay. I thought my 5 year was going to finally show something but it did not. I’ve inquired about pay but it’s gotten nowhere.

    Pros

    The relaxed, casual work environment

    Cons

Everything else. Poor leadership with minimal management experience on top of zero financial competence. Low pay compared to similar companies. Horrible lack of communication in all facets from procedure changes to growth opportunities. This company focuses too much on keeping everyone happy instead of making sure their employees can do the job. Rather than teach a bad employee more, they pile it on a good employee then are confused when they are burned out and leave. The turnover is horrendous and they prefer to hire from employee referrals, leading to more bad employees.

    Pros

They keep employees informed at all times of changes and issues, good or bad.

    Cons

They put horrible people in charge of all employees/operations and do not listen to the multitude of complaints that are made, up to harassment and unethical business practices. The only reason I left this company was due to the individual they put in charge of the accounting and operation dept.'s.

    Pros

Great employees and they were trying to create a great culture.

    Cons

Owners are the shadiest people ever. Only looking out for themselves. Manipulation, gossip, lies, and back stabbing run rampant there. They didn't trust the people they put in charge to run the day to day operations.
