I have been working at Prudential plc full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Stable company, somewhat good salary

    Cons

No progression, leadership just wastes your time, never had a development conversation nor they tried to develop me. They do not know what they want and it is very frustrating

    Pros

Good people to work with. Team is young, enthusiastic, energetic. Good benefits and exam increases, which has changed now.

    Cons

Leadership is week. Management does not give effort in the quality of work. Too much of favoritism. Biased policies.

    Advice to Management

People are leaving at a faster pace. High iteration. No senior people in the team. Need to introspect and act.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Prudential plc full-time

    Pros

Nice staff overall within PGDS. Many have been there for a while.

    Cons

The senior exec team are shocking. Very political. Very much arrogance from the new exec team. Even their CFO openly talks about the lack of credibility the senior team have. I've never seen such low moral in a place of work, which is a shame

    Pros

easy to enter and simple questions are asked for the interview, most of the applicants are admitted for the programme for the introduction of the basic knowledge in insurance industry

    Cons

the programme is quite simple and is not office based which is mainly focused on the introduction of different technquies and theories in the insurance industry rather than hands-on experience

    Advice to Management

the team was qutie small and the tasks are simple so that teammates cooperate in an efficient manner, lots of the tasks are easily completed and can be done in a few days

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Prudential plc full-time

    Pros

    Great people and bonus opps

    Cons

unfortunately Grade 4 and above in departments are not accountable for their actions and how the treat staff which is a real shame

    Advice to Management

look at why so many people are being forced to leave

    Neutral Outlook

    Pros

Brand, history, stable industry, technical skills are enhanced

    Cons

No leadership spine to be expected, ethics, employee fair treatment etc are least priority

    Advice to Management

Develop some spine to treat employees fairly and don't get enamoured by glamorous expertise of new leaders/heads (eg: head of knowledge services) who have joined only to boost their individual career..

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

business in good position for growth due to good decisions made prior to financial crisis of 2008/9

Poor management - highly political, egotists, focussed on short term gain, not focused on people

I have been working at Prudential plc full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

None if you end up in a department running under the old boy network.

    Cons

I am continually amazed by the old fashioned pecking order in existence here, where insufficient toadying and imagined slights are seized upon and petty revenge plotted.

    Advice to Management

Upgrade to modern, dynamic leaders with people skills who are too productively busy to spend time sulking and plotting over their expensive lunches on expenses.
