Corporate Wasteland of mediocrity and burnout

      Pros

European PTO policies, pretty good health plan, they have an annual xmas party that is fun

      Cons

Intelligence, honesty, integrity, hard-work, finding creative solutions to difficult problems, saving the company money, none of these matter one iota. You know how you know that your work is valued? Because your boss will just pile more and more on until you're fried. No promotions, not even basic cost of living raises, its a complete disaster in terms of awarding talent. You know who gets promoted and fat raises? The manager types who can't do anything but manage, brownnose, and take credit for your hard work, that's who gets rewarded. There are so many people in management who are complete frauds at this point its a precarious house of cards poised to come crashing down when the talented folks realize they can do much better elsewhere. The office politics at this place are next level and the people making the decisions at the higher levels would rather play those games than learn anything about what their teams are doing so they can provide guidance. Recently they got rid of the generous PTO package and replaced it with this ridiculous "take what you need" format. Sounds great huh? Nope, its been scientifically proven that employees on this kind of plan take less vacation. Plus all vacation is at your boss' discretion so its really not as you need it its as he/she needs it. A complete joke. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone I liked.

      Best Major Agency?

      Pros

Even though the company is huge, it does have a smaller company feel as each agency is considered its own entity. Great work/life balance

      Cons

As with any big company it takes forever to get things done. Love to talk about how they care about the employees but we are simply too strapped for cash to catch up with raises and promotions. Yet we had one of our best years ever last year. Something isn't adding up! C level got raises and promotions through months ago, the rest of us are waiting. Massive brain drain as time goes on with no raises. Not sure what HR and finance is thinking letting this happen. Losing excellent employees.

      Pros

A lot of discounts, young workforce, lots of socializing and networking events (pre-pandemic)

      Cons

Excessive work hours (regularly pushing 50+ in one week). I found the work menial and not stimulating.

      Disappointingly Disorganized

      Pros

Initially when I started with this company it was amazing. Their onboarding and new hire orientation allowed for me to quickly get up to speed with other team members. While on this team I was able to learn and grow quickly within my role. It wasn't until I was forced into moving to a different client due to my geographical location that things took a turn for the worst.

      Cons

Inconsistent onboarding policies and practices makes transitioning from one client to the next more difficult than it needs to be within the same organization. Poor communication between internal teams results in inefficient work flow. Leadership at the director and associate director levels lacks in their abilities to communicate to higher leadership the concerns of the day to day managers. This results in the team feeling largely unsupported and left to fight for themselves. Was told by the team director that if I wanted to move up in my role and responsibilities I was better off looking outside the company. They consistently over promised and under delivered to both their employees and clients. Due to the inefficiencies above, it resulted in long hours on the activation end just to set the team up for success. This lead to a snowball effect to where instead of fixing the process to make it better, it was just expected that the team would continue to put in the long hours.
