I have been working at Publicis full-time

    Pros

    Extremely nice work life balance

    Cons

Work is so boring. Extremely client services heavy company. There's an army of them per project. It's a producer/PM's worst nightmare. Always pushing back and flagging scope creep.

I have been working at Publicis full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great clients and opportunities to learn.

    Cons

Here's my story. I was placed in a very tough and draining client environment that presented challenges to not only my career, but my personal life. I took those challenges on and went above and beyond in my delivery for not only the client, but the company. What was my reward? For my first promotion round I was told that my work was excellent, but because I hadn't been there a year, I was passed up. I was assured that if I kept it up, I was a shoe-in for the next promotion round. What happened at the next promotion round? I was told that my work was great and that I deserved a promotion, but because of the "numbers" I wasn't promoted. But, they'll definitely put me up for consideration at the next promotion round. I'm beginning to think that "timing" and "numbers" are code words for the color of my skin. Beware that upper management does not care about rewarding employees for the quality of their work, or perhaps just certain employees. The worst feeling is giving 100%, delivering on your work and not being given what you are due.

    Advice to Management

Use more than just "seniority" or "numbers" as your thinly veiled excuses for holding employees back.

Nothing positive at all. Men were creepy. Huge company. Don't work here. Worst job ever. I will never go back there.

    Pros

Everything that you would expect from a very large multi-national advertising and marketing agency that is part of a holding company.
