    Great work/life balance

    Reputation

    Cons

France (HQ) is slow to promote/give raises so a lot of people leave
Classic big agency problem - moves to slow. Doesn't make award winning or interesting work

    Advice to Management

If innovation in advertising is a priority but it should also be a priority with management styles/processes.

    Pros

The Publicis network makes a genuine effort at having their agencies collaborate and share strengths. The account service and creative teams collaborated closely on work across all media.

    Cons

The agency moved far north of Dallas with designs on picking up clients near their new location. The only result was a long, long commute for most of the employees.

    Advice to Management

Continue to push the integrated creative model. Continue to seek input from the rank and file. Move the agency into Dallas.

    I worked at Publicis full-time

    Pros

Cannot think of any except maybe vacation time

    Cons

If you want to work somewhere where they swallow you whole and spit you back out in a million pieces go to Publicis. They are constantly laying people off and cutting anyone who is not billing clients due to their failed merger. They held a huge townhall in NYC to let people know how optimistic they were for the future and then went through and cut tons of HR professionals about 14 days later.

I worked at Publicis (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Deep workforce of talent focused on servicing a growing number of legal entities. This is a shared services office with all back office functions under one roof.

    Cons

There are numerous cons, most important of which is the current downsizing environment due to failed merger with Omnicom and loss of critical clients. General morale is very low and critical leaders acting in self serving fashion.
During my 6 years with ReSources I had the misfortune of working for a highly placed egomaniac too feared by HR to be reprimanded each time someone brought a grievance for yelling and threatening behavior.
Lastly, this is a Shared Services office servicing about 50 legal entities with the stated goal to offshore many of the back office functions to the Costa Rica office. Bit by bit many US jobs are eliminated in favor of Costa Rica....will yours be next?

    Advice to Management

Its been nearly 10 years with the Shared Services experiment but Omnicom and WPP are beating Publicis on profitability, share price, margins. It may be time to close the SSC and return to what worked.

    Pros

At a small subsidiary of Publicis. Great hours and great people. Always a good time and everyone is very supportive.

    Cons

Management could be more transparent about the progress of the company and clients. They also need to look out for employees in terms of their career advancement.
