I worked at Publicis full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

One of the major agencies in Chicago due to the fact it's headquartered here. Big clients and good talent alongside will help you grow leaps and bounds professionally.

    Cons

Leadership doesn't care about talent, knows the issue but does little to fix them. Compensation is way below industry average and while there are some amazing people remaining, the talent pool is getting worse due to its backwards hiring and talent retention practice.

    Advice to Management

Get a clue and actually make meaningful changes centered around your PEOPLE instead of touting how many awards you keep winning every year. Figure out a way to make the company profitable while actually being transparent to your employees. You can blast emails about company values all you want, but it's just words until you act on it.

In today's time where everyone is shifting focus on empathy, it's time for Publicis to show some to its employees.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

The benefits are great, but that is it.

    Cons

Everything else, it is not collaborate, there is no teamwork and getting a promotion is based on favoritism and not work or work ethic. HR does not do anything to help, even when employees consistently confide in them with repeated problems.

They have a high employee turnover. They see employees as cheap and replaceable labor. Getting a promotion and pay raise is near impossible. There is an extreme lack of opportunity and advancement. They have a poor culture and low employee satisfaction. Employees leave after less than a year. They also keep the incompetent and inexperienced management whom are extremely hard to work with.

    Advice to Management

    Replace old management
HR - learn how to take action and not sweep things under the rug
Learn how to keep high performers
    Improve employee morale and satisfaction
Position employees to succeed within the company

    Pros

Stellar platform. An excellent idea of combining centers pf excellence to provide the strongest expert service to the Publicis organization. Several years have been invested and is gaining solid ground, particularly within the IT Organization

    Cons

The HR function needs to be overhauled. It needs to be audited for needs, communicated to the decision makers, with priorities agreed upon, and executed. It is ripe for appropriate change. This can absolutely be a pro for the right candidate

    Advice to Management

Launch audits/reviews of what and how services are being provided by each center of excellence. Approach with a positive attitude of progressive change, not of punishments and/or criticism, You will succeed!
