I worked at Puget Sound Energy full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Wonderful company to work for. Great benefits, competitive pay, 401k match, flexible schedule (depending on which department you’re in) and if the company does good, you get an annual bonus, Company encourages further education and promoting within... They recognize and appreciate your work. Loved all my coworkers and supervisor in Gas Dispatch/Control as well as GSO, they truly are a great bunch of people. I genuinely...

    Cons

The only “con” would be the “panel” interview process... having more then one person in the room interview you can really make a person nervous.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

I have been working at Puget Sound Energy full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The people and the community involvement that Puget Sound Energy has makes this company a great place to work. They also stress safety a lot.

    Cons

This is still a PRO! It is like a big family because people recommend their family members to work with them.

    Advice to Management

    Management is very understanding

I have been working at Puget Sound Energy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Excellent team members, good benefits if you are under the old plan. Flexible work schedules

    Cons

Overload and unfair share of work load. Let go of several admins and just added their work load to remaining admins without additional compensation. The pay is not a living wage and makes commuting from affordable areas extremely stressful and expensive to employees who have no other choice.

I worked at Puget Sound Energy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Honestly, I can't think of a single thing to recommend PSE. Your paychecks don't bounce, does that count? If you're an exempt employee, you can show up for a few minutes and then take the rest of the day off, which is nice.

    Cons

Low wages. Invisible Human Resources department. Just try and find a phone number or name of a person in HR. Go ahead, I'll wait. Constant re-shuffling of mid- and upper-management. In three years, my supervisor changed four times. Condescending executives. Frequent pep rallies full of hollow promises and political side-stepping. Aggressive, negative attitudes from staff are rewarded with promotions and praise. ...

    Advice to Management

The "Best Places to Work" surveys are a joke. With worker satisfaction scores that are consistently at the very bottom, you've done nothing to make changes for your employees. Don't ask for your employees' opinions if you don't plan to take them into account.
