    Pros

They really treat employees well, and for what we do, the pay is great. Great perks, great opportunity for growth.

    Cons

Having to wait a year before applying elsewhere in the company as a full time customer service rep.

I worked at Puget Sound Energy full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Hired me for my first non-retail, non-restaurant job. Good bonus payout.

    Cons

Zero to little advancement. Unprofessional management in many cases. Picture a 1990's business that might have appeared in "Office Space".

    Advice to Management

    Hopefully things have changed.

I worked at Puget Sound Energy full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Sometimes they bring the employees lunch which was always nice.

    Cons

Almost too many to say. Horrible work environment, almost impossible to advance further in the company, management looks down on you as if you don't even work there. You are watched like a hawk, depending on your supervisor; if you are one minute late back from break you are written up. There is no consistency in the way all employees should be treated equally. They definitely choose favorites here and are going down...

I have been working at Puget Sound Energy for more than 10 years

    Pros

    OK Benefits, informal dress code

    Cons

Management is disorganized. Doesn't involve employees in decisions. Company removes perks from union employees. Not enough rewards for good employees, not enough competent managers. Too much work with not enough employees. Micromanaging is HUGE here. Not much room for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Stop micromanaging, look to your employees and listen to their ideas. Reward a job well done and address complacent employees.

I have been working at Puget Sound Energy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Benefits are nice, office space is good, Co-workers are willing to help

    Cons

so many changes causing conflict with employees, some would feel lucky if they made it through an entire week without having a negative interaction with managment

    Advice to Management

Need to remember that your employees are the face of the company and treat them with respect.

I have been working at Puget Sound Energy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Most of the long timers are great to work with.

    Cons

No longer really interested in the customer. More focused on getting stats and ratings up. Management is not interested in having a workforce that is interested in proving a great service. The call center is turning more like a collection agency.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your customers and your staff. They got you where your are today.

I have been working at Puget Sound Energy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Pay is ok. Health insurance is good. PTO is good.

    Cons

Union. Promotion to csr II isn't about showing up to work on time, knowing your job, providing good service. If you're all about being on committees (birthday committee, weight loss committee....etc) ironically, if you're all about being involved so you Don't have to work, you can expect to be promoted.
