Reviews about "cost of living"

Pros
Company rig, given necessary tools
Cons
Declining benefits, pay doesn’t keep up with cost of living
- Current Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Good people and I feel the executives believe in diversity and inclusion
Cons
The PTO and benefits are laughable. Medical is good but you cant have more than 15 days of PTO built up. (you start with 20 that you slowly accrue over the course of a year but if you surpass 15, you have to 'use it or lose it'. No bereavement, no sick time, no family or wellness time..... so if you go on a 2 week vacation, then come back and Nanna gets sick or passes away, you are not getting paid. Other benefits are average. Pay is below average for utility and far below for cost of living in Seattle. Supervisors stay in positions far too long to be effective and there is little opportunity to move outside your group unless you go to IT.

Pros
Free muffins and sandwiches at working lunches. Unlimited free coffee bar on every floor of the corporate HQ. Easy to move to another department. Cons
Pay is less than literally every other utility in Washington State, despite the cost of living being the highest in the Seattle and Bellevur area. Shady ethics, treat customers horribly, cutting corners to get next quarter's profits up. There was a mass exodus of talented engineers to other utilities (Snohomish PUD, City of Tacoma, Grays Harbor PUD, etc.)
