    Positive Outlook

I worked at Purdue Research Foundation as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

Great work environment for an internship.

    Cons

The training was not that helpful

I worked at Purdue Research Foundation (More than a year)

    Pros

The people are generally really friendly and it's easy to talk to almost anyone there. Many coworkers are willing to do their best to help out where needed.

    Cons

Too political in regards to internal promotions and new job opportunities. If you aren't favored by management, chances are you will be overlooked/under-appreciated. Pay is also low due to Purdue's salary restrictions. Finally, many employees get away without doing their part of the job requirements, leaving more motivated employees to pick up the slack.

    Advice to Management

Consider each candidate for an internal promotional opportunity fairly. Many overqualified individuals are stuck in their positions due to favoritism based on personal relationships. Also, for many individuals, focus more on one's work experience, tenured time with the organization and dedication to Purdue Research Foundation when gauging qualifications/promotions over an academic degree.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Purdue Research Foundation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The Purdue Research Foundation, particularly speaking, the Office of Technology Commercialization is a very pleasant place to work. Everyone in this office is friendly and intelligence making it enjoyable to speak to other co-workers.

    Cons

The downside to working at the Purdue Research Foundation is that it is a non-profit organization. Thus, the salaries tend to be a little below the average.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

I have been working at Purdue Research Foundation full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Under 100 people, many nice people, many well connected people, covers the whole State of Indiana, you get access to all of Purdue University

    Cons

Many times it is who you know within the company instead of reviewing or remember a person's contributions and work contributions.

    Advice to Management

Not only read "Good to Great", but live it. Learn to lean and not just be good managers. Learn that making mistakes is part of doing a great job, not being incompetent.
