I have been working at Pursuit of Excellence full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

With a reasonable starting wage and hands on training, the safe operation of these bus routes is assured to be a good place to work. Pay raise after 6 months.

    Cons

A 24/7/365 operation leads to scheduling issues and makes it difficult for timely vehicle maintenance actions.

    Advice to Management

Renegotiate some aspects of the performance contract to give more flexibility to management.

I worked at Pursuit of Excellence (Less than a year)

    Pros

Neat office space. Free coffee. Great location near Dallas

    Cons

Everything else. Management is delusional and has no idea what goes on. Overwork employees and no reward. All internal employees are unhappy and dissatisfied. There is 0 transparency to what is really going on.

    Advice to Management

Hire someone to run day-to-day operations and pay employees higher wage if you want them to stay loyal to the company

    Pros

On a personal level, leadership can be charming and engaging.
They have some employees that have strong competency in running payrolls and in TQM concepts.

    Cons

Delusional leadership. They think they are a consulting organization. They imagine themselves as in some way elite. They are neither in my opinion. I don't want to pile on in a forum where those critiqued cannot meaningfully respond but delusional is a word I use for its precision in describing this place. My best advice to those considering engaging as employees or clients is - do not.

    Advice to Management

Seek Therapy. I can only imagine that keeping up this facade about self and this tiny organization is exhausting. It was exhausting to be around.

I worked at Pursuit of Excellence full-time

    Pros

You learn more in one year here than in 5 years anywhere else.

    Cons

60 to 70 hour work weeks on salary. I was told to read the book The Devil Wears Prada by both the interviewer and the CEO (They were proud of that fact). It should be noted that the book had 2 assistants. This job is only one for a multi-faceted CEO/CVO.

    Advice to Management

There is a reason why turnover is so high and it isn't "it just wasn't a good fit". Management, please be accountable and stop blaming everyone else for your ineptitude.

    Pros

You get off at 4 on Fridays

    Cons

    Owner is never there.
Management is rude and disrespectful and gossips about everyone.
    Company is disorganized.
They work you way more than 41 hours that they promise.
Even though they promise bonuses, they make it impossible to achieve.
Run, Run, Run far away from this company

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like you want to be treated and they will be more productive.

I worked at Pursuit of Excellence full-time

    Pros

No pros. No pros. No pros. No pros. No pros. No pros. No pros. No pros. No pros. No pros. No pros. No pros. No pros. No pros. No pros.

    Cons

From start to finish, a total sham. The initial group interviewing will be the beginning display of the lack of support and evidence of the ill managed company. The owner is a narcissistic woman who has absolutely no interest in the growth of the team as she will promise to only get what she wants by distorting even the basic hr practices. Hostile culture and zero values. Harsh and the company struggles with law suits. Stay far away.

I worked at Pursuit of Excellence full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are no pros to working here

    Cons

This "company" is complete smoke in mirrors. Not sure how they've survived all of these years because there is no structure or organization. The head of the company has no business running an HR company and should stay focused on her coffee business. For those of you being promised that you are being brought in to make a difference, just understand that nothing will change because you will not have the support of management. Run FAR away from this "opportunity".

    Advice to Management

Sell your assets and move on.

    Pros

If you are interested in an unpredictable work environment, this is the right place for you.

    Cons

High turnover, lack of work life balance and family run company with personal drama.

    Advice to Management

Hire new management with no family connections or involvement.
