I have been working at PwC full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexibility and freedom to try other LOS. Strong global presence that encourages relationships outside of US. Ability to travel frequently.

    Cons

There's a reason PwC has the highest revenue per employee, many times feel shorthanded but still expected to complete all the work.

    Advice to Management

Try not to make everything always about the bottom line.

  3. "It was a great experience where I had the opportunity to do a lot of client facing work as an intern right off the bat."

I worked at PwC as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Real time work, real responsibilities, real exposure. Did a lot of work that was used in client presentations which was incredibly rewarding. Learned a lot!

    Cons

Demanding, they place you in a competency that they see fit best for you. They don't let you choose which is kind of a strategic move on their part but didn't like it as an intern because I didn't know what else was out there. I wish they had more of a generalist advisory entry level job not specified by a competency

I have been working at PwC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The firm focuses on developing its brand through sound leadership principles.

    Cons

The sound leadership principles that the firm emphasizes are only practiced by a select few of the leaders in the firm. Specifically, empathy lacks among leadership, along with organizational behavior and work ethic. Work is frequently handed off to the next lowest in command until the least qualified person is doing it. Meanwhile, management sits in business class or dozes off in executive airport lounges dreaming about their next big bonus.

    Advice to Management

Your clients will one day realize how little value you provide and show you the door. Uncover and eliminate the problem or develop a backup plan.

I have been working at PwC full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, and work arrangement is flexible for internal staff.

    Cons

Pay is not the best, difficult to move up in IFS roles.

    Advice to Management

Clearer path for promotion in IFS/Internal roles.

I worked at PwC full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great engagements, team members, and credentials with clients. Great benefits and overall compensation.

    Cons

Still not supportive of parents who want to be more present in their children's lives. Travel for consultants outside of some markets that are more local (e.g. Silicon Valley) are very taxing.

I have been working at PwC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You work with a bunch of young people who are really smart and fun.

    Cons

There has been a visible cost cutting push. The insurance plan I was on was cut and they told us only 4 months before the plan was up. The manager promotion bonus was cut by 20%, and they tried to tell us sneakily by making us click through 3 links before seeing information on the cut. They also cut money for team happy hours and bonding activities.

I have been working at PwC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are data projects and have amazing team. You get to cross vertical and on different kinds of projects. Not a lot of travel which is great if you like being local.

    Cons

If you hate e discovery this is not the job for you. Long hours for sure depending on the project. No opportunity for early promotions like any other corporates. Promotions work like clock work. Partners are not aware about associate work and are not involved even a little bit.
