I have been working at PwC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great flexibility where you can work and IT support. Lots of exposure to new products and people are mostly interesting since they come from various backgrounds and have great subject matter expert knowledge

    Cons

The company is technologically behind. A few managers and up understanding tech reality, but most of them don't. It makes more tech-savvy people pretty frustrated. The company is also too focused on the short-term profit and not the long term development, which makes innovative analytic problems challenging to seriously develop.

    Advice to Management

Learn technology. Don't operate so hierarchically. Give more flexibility to development and learning new concepts outside of accounting and audit

    Pros

Great Team! Real Impact! Great Culture! Real Time Feedback!

    Cons

Long working hours as usual for any consulting job

    Advice to Management

The pay (no relocation bonus) is slightly on the lower end comparing to the top consulting firms, otherwise a great firm with abundant great projects to work on!

I worked at PwC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fast paced environment with driven people. It really helps to build your skills and resume much quicker than a private sector job.

    Cons

Depending on what team you are assigned the hours between you and your peers can vary greatly. Long hours for the most part and there is more than 1 busy season each year as most people have 12/31 audits along with a 6/30 and/or 9/30 audit as well.
The culture can be a bit overwhelming as everyone is very career driven and at points expect your personal life to take a back seat to work.

    Advice to Management

Make sure to remain cognizant of the demands on the staff and managers at without the support to disconnect it can be a bit tough/intimidating to try and get away for some much needed/deserved R&R.

I worked at PwC full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Exposure to a lot of unique clientele in various industries. Nice to have the PwC pedigree on your resume.

    Cons

Work life balance did not exit. Travel exceeded 50% and was regularly Sunday thru Friday. The practice did not know how to approriately gauge talent nor deploy resources to engagements. Seniors typically do the heavy lifting.

    Pros

Good place to start your career, good people and experience. Variety of projects and opportunities. Overall, young people with a lot of talent.

    Cons

Big company with big company rules and tough promotions. Not always easy to navigate politics internally. There are a lot of obstacles to move around.

    Advice to Management

    Recognize your own people
