I have been working at PwC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Most things. Great group of talented people to work with. Ability to work with cutting edge planning for the worlds largest companies. Relaxed and sincere culture.

    Cons

Compensation is really the only downside to working at PwC, especially if you are also a licensed attorney. With the recent law firm salary increases in 2016, it will likely become very difficult if not impossible to recruit or keep attorneys at PwC.

I worked at PwC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Most disappointing employer in my life = Blessing in disguise . Hung my shingle as solo atty.

    Cons

    1. Organization structure: antiquated and rigid corporate hierarchy.

    2. The company culture is for:
    -lap dogs,
    -non-entrepreneurs,
    -non-risk takers,
    -those who need attention,
-are afraid to stake their claim, and
-over-compensators who have low levels of confidence despite outward projections to the contrary.

    3. Immaturity and sophomoric behavior company-wide.

    Advice to Management

Hired by Chicago ITS-FS (International Tax - Financial Services) and worked in both ITS-FS and ITS.

Brought to the table high-level strategic skillset: litigation attorney at own my own firm. 41 yrs old and pPast clients included:
    1) HNW families,
    2) Senior financial traders, and
    3) FP&A strategy consultants.

Yet placed into a bizarre and incongruent tactical role for 27 year-olds.

Result: my talent was squandered on low-level tasks, in an inappropriate role, which I previously paid my law office employees to perform e.g.,
    -bookkeeping for $400 of revenue,
-drafting emails for others 14 years younger than I to approve,
    -making photocopies, and
    -collecting the mail from mailroom.

It was time to leave the firm when the following occurred:

Person #1 (personified Humphrey Bogart in The Cain Mutiny):
-several years younger, unprofessional, with low emotional quotient
-became irrational & hostile to mask their lack of tax litigation/POA experience (despite my having experience)
-began client work without an engagement letter.

    Person #2:
-made inappropriate comments publicly regarding a coworker = HR violation.
-refused to allow mission-critical deliverables to proceed to WNTS
-fortunately this Person #2 was publicly removed after 12 months via mass email, "As of today, <NAME>, has left the firm..."

Lose the battle to win the war - Made the firm lay me off, collected my unemployment and severance.

I worked at PwC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working with the best of the best. Great mentoring. Great place to learn skills and get experience with top clients

    Cons

Limited growth potential after awhile. It's easy to progress, but more challenging to grow after a certain point. It's a big firm and there are lots of opportunities for exploration and development, but it's still a big company. Like other big companies, it's sometimes burdened by its size

    Advice to Management

    None. Great firm.
