I have been working at PwC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexibility and amazing resources. Very talented people. They have a plan and are focused on success for their people. They have a great brand as well.

    Cons

Mostly industry common cons. Unpredictable work schedule, long hours, some unwanted travel. A lot of type A people. But nothing specific to PwC.

    Advice to Management

Ensure the right levels of leadership are in place to help associates progress in smaller markets.

I have been working at PwC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people I work with, exposure to broad range of companies, the Firm's push for flexibility, a lot of perks (free meals, social events, Firm pays your phone bill)

    Cons

Working long hours during parts of the year depending on the client's year-end and the associate-level work can be very boring

I have been working at PwC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Young coworkers, with a national average of 26 years old. Possibility of salary increase each year.

    Cons

Every little issue is a fire drill, they commend taking vacation but ask you to work during those vacations, salary updates are promised every year but they will not meet your expectation when considering the hours worked/requests received vs. hourly wage even with the bonuses given.

Lastly, if issues actually turn into major ordeals, everyone acts like we are saving lives. If you get in the way of that, you get thrown under the bus. Keep in mind that I am 2 rated.

I worked at PwC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Great training opportunities
-Learn a lot in the late hours
    -401k match
    -Great family leave benefits
-Great network of experts in specialized areas

    Cons

-A number of out of market partners service Portland clients. If you're working for out of market partners, your jobs get ignored from a staffing/rewards perspective.
-Partners don't call clients on issues enough
-HR personnel are unreliable and overinvolved in trying to address staff complaints.
-Firm has gone crazy with policies to address PCAOB comments that don't really improve audit quality.
-In an attempt to outsource work to foreign personnel, staff aren't receiving proper training on the basics of auditing.

    Advice to Management

    -Cut abusive clients
-Limit HR involvement in day to day matters
-Train personnel to deal with conflicts one on one
-Don't be so afraid of the PCAOB

I have been working at PwC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

PwC gives you great access to world class clients. Regardless of your home office you are connected with numerous PwC professionals throughout the world. PwC has great training and learning opportunities.

    Cons

The firm is regularly reshaping its compensation and work/life balance programs. It is often difficult to manage work and life demands as it is not easy to find a win/win given client demands.
