    Pros

Coaching, network, and diversity of opportunities. You can write your own path based on the relationships you build with PwC and clients. Any question my client asks, I can say "I know an expert"

    Cons

Travel and workload (it's consulting). You have lots of flexibility in work schedule but generally need to be available all the time.

I have been working at PwC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

So many perks, such as unlimited sick days for yourself/family members, extended holiday vacations, firm-wide two-week shutdown over Christmas and New Years, tuition reimbursement, student loan paydown benefit, up to $5k bonus for passing the CPA exams within 1 year of employment, an extra 401k-type retirement account and so much more.

    Cons

Unfortunately, the people on your engagement team either make it or break it for you. I am in audit and the first engagement team I was on was just like a high school clique, which was really tough, especially during busy season, because I didn't fit in. Now I am on another team and feel much better about my coworkers. Another con is the fact that we work in an audit room and all sit around a group of tables- no cubicles to call our own. I miss having privacy. Also, during busy season we worked 70-80 hours, which wasn't that bad actually, but I didn't like the fact that we had to take lunches and dinners together. I like being around people but 12-16 hours a day is just too much.

    Advice to Management

Change the "snapshot" review process. My annual review should not be solely based on what one person chooses to write about me. It should be focused on the quality of my work and not just the amount of workpapers I "prepared". I could prepare 20 a day but they wouldn't be done properly and then I'd have to spend more time completing them the right way- not to mention I'd be wasting the reviewer's time if I sent crap their way. How is it fair that I received compliments from the engagement partner and manager about my quality of work but when it came time for the snapshot, the person writing it didn't mention that at all and therefore I got a sub-par review. My bonus and raise suffered greatly due to that and it was unfair.
