I have been working at PwC full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You'll work with the best and learn an incredible amount. Overall, you'll get out of PwC what you put in. It is a demanding environment that will challenge anyone. There are endless opportunities within the firm.

    Cons

Way too many internal IT issues. Seems silly, but these things can get quite annoying after awhile.

    Advice to Management

Simplify and consolidate our internal systems.

    Pros

You will learn a ton! Great growth potential. Awesome people. Fast paced, interesting, never bored. Fun team events.

    Cons

Not the best salary. Busy season is rough! The client you are booked on & the team you are placed on can make or break your experience with PwC. Note: Not a con, but the San Jose office specifically is VERY fast paced because there are a lot of public clients. Other offices may have a better work life balance.

I have been working at PwC full-time

    Pros

    Solid maternity leave benefits.
Good work life balance (depending on the group you are aligned with).
Virtual/remote office set and flexible work arrangements available.
Talented smart and dedicated people who genuinely want to do the "right" thing the right way.
Values and is committed to diversity.

    Cons

Company size, matrixed structure, functional diversity and alignment creates diverging and sometimes competing goals across the company and among groups. As such, collaboration and communication can at times be extremely difficult and disconnected. Firm support functions, i.e. marketing, operations, HR, administrative teams are treated differently than client service staff. Expect to be on call all the time - and tied to your email.

    Advice to Management

Communicate your vision clearly and instill behaviors that support goal making activity from the top down and bottom up. Implement technology that will support the topling of silos, create transparency and access in reporting and communication. Make it easy for staff to support clients by providing user friendly project delivery, communications and work management tools. Focus on customer first to grow business and elevate firm reputation.
