I have been working at PwC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people at the company are fun and share common goals and characteristics. Its a young company which makes it more exciting.

    Cons

The work itself is sometimes not the most interesting especially when doing the administration type work or companies that are not tangible.

    Advice to Management

People care too much about little details of the work

    Pros

    Good training
Coworkers are generally nice and intelligent
Lots of young people so good place to start out of college
22 days PTO after 2 years
    Holiday shutdowns
    Cell phone paid for
    Good maternity/ paternity benefits

    Cons

LONGG HOURS ( 60+ for 3-4 months at a time)
Was expected to come into office on weekends
Low pay compared to industry, especially for number of hours worked
High pressure swim or sink environment

    Advice to Management

Staff your jobs appropriately, rather than always trying to get it done with the minimum. Staff turnover is expensive too and most people leave because of bad hours

I have been working at PwC full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great career advancement opportunities early in your career. High level of exposure to multiple challenging business issues enhances personal knowledge and experience.

    Cons

Poor work-life balance marketed as flexibility. Inconsistent performance evaluation scale which seems to always be a moving target. Leadership seems to have a mentality of what have you done for me lately. Career development is lack luster even though tremendous investment has been made to improve coaching and performance management.

    Advice to Management

Focus on making the most of existing human capital, and resist the easy path posed by fellow partners to simply bring in "experienced" talent. Strategic hires such as these should undergo more scrutiny.

    Cons

You will be a cog in a very large machine where there is very little interest in your development.

    Advice to Management

Work to incorporate the input of all staff, and provide timely and substantive feedback on performance.

    Cons

Very fast-paced! A lot of hoops to jump through when you want an decisions to be made. Not much time for onboarding; you're thrown into it right away with the expectation that you either succeed or don't (but you should probably succeed).
