I worked at PwC as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company culture, especially coaching culture from seniors. Lots of opportunities to learn and be exposed to different industries. In my 2 months there, I was already exposed to 2 different industries. Good reputation and notable clientele.

    Cons

Have to be prepared for Long working hours and not that high pay as compared to banking. Work might seem repetitive at lower levels

    Pros

Positive work environment - Directors, managers and associates treated me as a colleague rather than an intern. Even as an intern without much experience, my words were taken seriously by senior management.
People Oriented - Focuses on people
Problem Oriented rather than Task Oriented - I was given problems to solve, rather than task to do. I had the opportunities to take ownership of problems.

    Cons

Low starting pay as compared to my industry average (Information Technology/Computing)

    Pros

Great exposure on the industry with supportive managers and associates, coaching culture stil remains relatively strong. Good exposure on client of different sizes.

    Cons

Managing collagues can be challanging at times and time consuming, especially when there are no trust in the staff from the bosses.

    Advice to Management

    NA

I worked at PwC full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Fast paced environment, lots of exposure to various industries, most of the people you work with in their 20s and early 30s. You get a mentor whom is your point of contact should you need help/direction. Certain level of flexibility at work from managerial grade onwards which is helpful for staff with young families.

    Cons

Ridiculously Long working hours, not much recognition for hard work and going the extra mile, putting up with nasty clients as it's all expected of you. Bosses tend to not get their hands dirty and try to understand the challenges faced by staff. The burnout is real and a lot of staff suffer from health issues due to the demands of the job. Morale is generally Low and everyone keeps on talking about quitting. So difficult to take leave because of non-stop deadlines. Work-life balance is literally non-existent.

    Advice to Management

Deploy more resources and bosses should really stick up for their staff rather than the staff dealing with the nasty clients most of the time. Recent initiatives try to make the place more hip to work at but they are not what staff want. Bonus isn't generous for the sheer hard work we need to put in.

I worked at PwC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly environment, fun people, intelligent. Great for fresh College Graduates in terms of training, would recommend individuals to branch out and do startups when younger.

    Cons

Repetitive work, can get boring and make purposeless in the end. Lack of corporate culture in general, most of the fun people were within the Human Resource department which is involved in party planning, but even that becomes boring after a bit.
