I worked at QC Holdings full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Co-workers are great people. Upper management is stale. Need more "good job, thank you for your hard work" type of encouragement

    Cons

Under appreciated, lacks in training on new products. The upper management does not care about you. Company does not promote within. Management will hire outside friends for better jobs. No advancement opportunities because uppers do not want to go thru hiring an training your replacement.

    Advice to Management

Show appreciation for your employees. Stop talking down to employees. Promoting from within keeps great employees for a long time. If upper management treated employees better, they would probably stay longer. To many lies and misrepresentation of work duties. Secrets are for children. Keep your employees informed. This company needs major change in management. New and fresh people (managers) bring in better ideas and helps keep employees interested. Could be a great place to work if changes were made in management.

    Pros

Nice office space, nice phone, and if you are salaried there is flexibility in schedule if work allows it.

    Cons

Not really interested in the good of the employee, poor benefits, poor test environment, three layoffs in the one year, no 401K match, a watch your back environment.

    Pros

You will meet some great people. My boss was great. My boss's boss was great. Any level above them will not care about you. Corporate woods is a nice, clean area.

    Cons

There's a chance you might get encouraged to work night and day to finish a project, but once that project is finished, they'll lay off your entire department. Either outsource all of your work or let it fall on the plates of others.

    Advice to Management

Care about your employees. Find out who they are and if they're qualified for another position before kicking them to the curb.
