I worked at QinetiQ North America (More than a year)

    Pros

The heads of each department are very approachable and willing to teach. Exciting technology, especially in the robotics division.

    Cons

Building doesn't have a great atmosphere, but as I was leaving they were gearing up for a location change. So that probably isn't the case anymore

I worked at QinetiQ North America full-time

    Pros

Location was convenient if living near Boston. Ample parking. Pay seemed fair.

    Cons

Coworkers were inexperienced, often given tasks beyond what they were capable of, and not overseen by competent engineers.

    Advice to Management

Work together to avoid fighting over resources. Reduce the cutthroat culture that was portrayed.

I worked at QinetiQ North America full-time

    Pros

Flexibility in my specific department, great team.

    Cons

Leadership was not strong. Should have never sold out to the SI Org! Them preaching "best athlete" was a joke. It was more like let's get rid of all of the QNA employees.

I worked at QinetiQ North America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Knowledgeable people, good work environment, decent pay and an easy drive from I-95. Difficult work at times, but lots of support from fellow employees. When there was work, it was good.

    Cons

Not a lot of work for me when I started in the summer. I often found myself sitting around often without any deliverables. I would approach my manager daily, but there was never anything for me.

    Advice to Management

Make sure to clearly define what your Co-ops will be doing before they start. Try to define a project that covers the entire internship and allow them to present on it at the end.
