I’ve worked for Qlik for almost a year now and have to say the culture is amazing. Employees are all so nice and helpful. The atmosphere at Qlik is one of a kind and makes you feel at home. Highly recommend working here!!

Cult-like-culture. There was a click posse that traveled from company to company together. They would infiltrate, then gaslight original Qlik personnel, remove them and bring in their own managers and other personnel. They have a reputation from going company to company together. All the while the CEO let it happen. Bias training was a joke. The culture was completely biased to the click mentioned above. Consistently 60-80 hrs a week work hours and so much scope creep, not working in sprints. Having a jam packed roadmap and then squeezing items in without hiring added personnel or contractors. Expecting perfection constantly and then asking, how can you top this next? TOTAL GRIND. If you are a woman, don't think you'll get promoted unless you do so walking in the door. Few and far between. Yet the men seem to promote much faster. Skip levels don't happen as they should. More diversity needed. Go at your own risk.

Flexibility in general for technical positions. Some teams are amazing and most of my team has been together for 10+ years. My specialty area has been growing like crazy.

Cons

2022 sales commissions were a joke. Went from 2 years 200%+ to barely 100% this year. I had no locked in target until June with little communication other than excuses. We are expected to sell with almost no marketing dollars or development dollars behind some of our best selling endpoints.

Data analytics company that cannot pay commission is a disgrace. Every paycheck is a lottery, if you receive a payment you are afraid to use it because you don't know if they will take it way from in the next payroll. Cumbersome commission plan that incentivizes the wrong behavior with many definitions that exist only in this company. You can be paid for deals that you didn't sell and the opposite way get zero commissions for deals that you worked so hard for. If you reach out to the compensation team, it will take months to receive a response if you are lucky enough to receive one. Commission report that is impossible to read or understand. I hope that someone at TB will see this review and understand why the results look so bad this year and why all the good sales reps are leaving Qlik.

Good company. Good product strategy to the Cloud in Data Integration and Data Analytics.

For some reason, there has need several management level executives who had left the company in Q4 2022 and Q1 2023. Not a good sign. Lots of confusion.

Teams are dedicated to and believe in the power of the products and the benefits to large and small companies. Team members support each other.

Dedicated team members are over-worked as result of back-office departments being understaffed.

Mostly good work/home balance, opportunity to work remotely. Unlimited vacation, benefits are OK.

No clear career path from management. Almost impossible to get promoted unless you 'know the right people'. Expect you to go above and beyond with no promise for compensation in return. Take advantage of employees under the guise of 'teamwork'. Too much turnover lately, and the work just gets pushed to the remaining employees instead of backfilling positions we really need.

Pros

Strong SaaS product offering. Healthcare benefits are generous.

Cons

No real equity oppty for employees, as company continues to shift its strategy; acquisition by TB is further evidence. Leadership vision is lacking, revenue side especially - entirely disconnected with field realities and needs. Another significant layoff this week, and management has a history of not treating employees well in such cases.

Qlik is one of the few companies I have worked for where the leadership team is approachable and tries to understand what the employees need for personal growth and actually works to accomplish a feeling of inclusiveness with its employees.

Growth path, it's not clear if there is one but, the job you are in is secure.
