    Pros

Great team environment and good opportunity to close a lot of business.

    Cons

Comp structure can be better but that's the case for most Services Sales jobs.

I have been working at Qlik full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    * Amazing product and technology. Absolute best in the market, but it's a hidden gem. Very few know the true power and value of the associative engine.
    * Competitive pay. For those that have been here for a while, the pay is very good.
    * Great work/life balance. Flexible work hours, remote working, and time off is excellent.

    Cons

    * Cost cutting. Since going private, the focus is on cost cutting and short-term revenue. Very little focus on customer success, training and enablement, or doing the right thing.
    * No culture/identity. The Swedish culture and Qlik's core values were very unique and a huge differentiator. Those core values are no longer here at Qlik. Instead, everyone just works on their own things, rarely communicates or seek advise or help, and nobody seems to care anymore. It's just a job.
    * Management. Very out of touch with the people, technology, and customers. Rarely visit customers.

The same senior managers that got us into this mess (e.g. grossly missed in Q4/2015, which caused the stock to drop and ultimately lead to Qlik going private) are the ones still leading the company. They made $Ms on the stock, more $Ms when Qlik went private, and have more $Ms in stock in the new private company.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, partners, and customers. There's major attrition and nothing is being done to acknowledge or address it. Partners have built businesses off of Qlik and they're now moving/adopting new technologies. Customers are screaming for new features, but we go off and build completely different things. Unfortunately, the competitors have better management and as a result, Qlik is losing market share to them.

I have been working at Qlik full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Still a great place to learn and grow your career. The constant change and lack of direction will set you up when you have the opportunity to join a well managed company.

    Cons

The company can't get out of its own way. Many in leadership are long tenured and do not know how to survive in a market that's now competitive. Ideas and teams are in constant competition. Every day contradicts the day before.

    Advice to Management

Develop a business strategy that will make money and motivate your employees. CSR is not a virtue to your employees who have bills to pay.

I have been working at Qlik full-time

    Pros

The product is great if company can stay out of its own way.
Enough holdovers that still keep culture somewhat alive in company
Solid work-life balance but has started to deteriorate in last year.

    Cons

constant flip-flopping in strategy. No company culture anymore. Top down management that ignores those who may have better perspective.

    Not as diverse as needed.

    Advice to Management

Bring back a company culture that fosters advancement from within. Pay men and women equally. Pay current employees more so they don't leave. Backfilling from outside is such waste of budget when better people leave over small amounts of money. Its cheaper to keep!

    Pros

Casual dress everyday. Free snacks, bread and cheese daily...Free flavored waters. Free coffee and tea. Great people in each department.

    Cons

Since Qlik was bought out in August 2016, the attitude or mood has changed. Stress seems palpable now. Almost no company sponsored events since buyout. Executives rarely leave their Ivory tower and say hello. Managers are all over worked. They are trying to accommodate wishes from those in the Ivory Tower even when they know the requests make no sense.

    Advice to Management

You are losing your best people to other companies by chasing profit profit profit for the new owners...Don't forget the people who make Qlik A Great Place to Work.
