I worked at Qlik full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Flexibility and amazing product.

    Cons

Poor leadership especially in top 1-3 to levels. Lack of understanding of high tech software market. Lack of urgency and focus

    Advice to Management

Own your identity (are you a swedish/European company or an American high tech company) and evaluate your top levels of leadership to determine if you would hire them if given a different option. Locate the leaders that hire their inept cronies and move them all out. By the way they recently removed their CEO

Comp structure can be better but that's the case for most Services Sales jobs.

I worked at Qlik full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Qlikview is a great product, Qlik Sense is ok

    Cons

Terrible leadership at all levels. No consideration for the employee or their career. Leadership will lie directly to your questions about quota attainment, career progression and stability in your job. Attrition is ridiculous and its amazing that new hires don't read sites like this and run for the hills. No Cloud, No Big Data strategy.

    Advice to Management

Return the company to its stakeholders - the field employees, the customers, and the companies that pay maintenance for your products in hopes of improvement

I worked at Qlik full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free bread & cheese, coffee, drinks
    Good benefits

    Cons

Everything changed since the private equity acquisition. Focus is now on cost-cutting, automation, and out-sourcing. Qlik has been so focused on short-sighted strategies to increase revenue it has in turn abandoned customer enablement and success. Senior management can't seem to right the ship and policies are created to try to squeeze revenue out of companies no longer using the product.

    Advice to Management

Invest time and resources in ensuring both your customers and employees are happy and content or else they'll continue to leave in droves for better alternatives.

I have been working at Qlik full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    * Amazing product and technology. Absolute best in the market, but it's a hidden gem. Very few know the true power and value of the associative engine.
    * Competitive pay. For those that have been here for a while, the pay is very good.
    * Great work/life balance. Flexible work hours, remote working, and time off is excellent.

    Cons

    * Cost cutting. Since going private, the focus is on cost cutting and short-term revenue. Very little focus on customer success, training and enablement, or doing the right thing.
    * No culture/identity. The Swedish culture and Qlik's core values were very unique and a huge differentiator. Those core values are no longer here at Qlik. Instead, everyone just works on their own things, rarely communicates or seek advise or help, and nobody seems to care anymore. It's just a job.
    * Management. Very out of touch with the people, technology, and customers. Rarely visit customers.

The same senior managers that got us into this mess (e.g. grossly missed in Q4/2015, which caused the stock to drop and ultimately lead to Qlik going private) are the ones still leading the company. They made $Ms on the stock, more $Ms when Qlik went private, and have more $Ms in stock in the new private company.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, partners, and customers. There's major attrition and nothing is being done to acknowledge or address it. Partners have built businesses off of Qlik and they're now moving/adopting new technologies. Customers are screaming for new features, but we go off and build completely different things. Unfortunately, the competitors have better management and as a result, Qlik is losing market share to them.
