    I worked at Qorvo full-time

    Pros

Very diverse workforce (both in culture and age) of highly motivated and intelligent professionals. Many opportunities to learn and contribute to state-of-the-art RF modules for mobile and infrastructure/defense applications.

    Cons

Qorvo formed from the merger of TriQuint (Hillsboro) and RFMD (Greensboro, N.C.) in 2015. Corporate headquarters now reside in Greensboro making Hillsboro a satellite site with diminishing control over future role in company.

I worked at Qorvo for more than 8 years

    Pros

No shortage of smart, talented, hardworking staff at every level and discipline. Facilities, location (both Hillsboro, OR - home of TriQuint and Greensboro, NC - formerly RFMD, now the official company Headquarters) are nice, surrounded by greenspace to walk, etc.

    Cons

The extremes to which Cost Savings and Lean manufacturing are applied is often short sighted and counterproductive. At some point, no matter how dedicated employees are in their team efforts and individual contributions to "do more with less" eventually, there isn't any "less" left with which anything "more" is even possible.

I have been working at Qorvo full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

One of the key players in RF area; company has achieved significant improvement during the past few years, and after the merge of RFMD and Triquint.

    Cons

Not too many chance to advance your career; and the environment is not encouraging innovation.

"Company values location (people in Greensboro) over intelligence"

I worked at Qorvo full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

PTO weeks are generous People in the remote locations Benefits are pretty good

    Cons

CEO - He is extremely cocky and could care less about the workers. Sharp contrast to the TriQuint CEO who actually visited the factories every quarter, who called every employee on their birthday, and who made every employee feel valued from the operators to the leadership team. QORVO is all about levels and playing favorites. CFO - He is a loose cannon. He directs people to do things that dangerously tread the line of accounting fraud so he can hit committed margin targets. His communication style is abrasive to say the least. The company only values people in Greensboro (even if they are dreadfully inefficient) and turns their back on and doesn’t value intelligent, high caliber people if they don’t reside in Greensboro. The company is failing and will continue to fail because the GSO executives are too myopic and they don’t care about people. They only care about their own pockets. Companies that excel actually care about their workers and they value people that challenge the mainstream. QORVO management doesn’t. They want everything to be done the same way. Same way = the way Legacy RFMD did things = inefficient. They had a huge reduction in force in September. However, instead of getting rid of poor performers and truly inefficient people that dont innovate and just continue to say “well this is how we’ve always done it”, they lay off high performing, intelligent, efficient thinkers in remote locations. I have never seen a more incompetent group of leaders. The company will continue to fail with this group of leaders. It’s a Global company living like it’s in the 80’s. GSO executives believe that people need to be in GSO for the business to operate efficiently. It’s beyond absurd. TriQuint would’ve had them for lunch if they hadn’t merged. The merger brought the culture down, morale down and drove great people out. The best thing that can happen for the company now is for another company to come in, buy them, and get rid of all of the GSO executive management and inefficient people in GSO.

    Pros

Technology and market are a good one

    Cons

After a few years, the "merger of equals" is clearly an acquisition. For an international company, it is amazing how everything must be in Greensboro to function. GSO is not a hot bed of talent and it's clear that if you already live there your job is infinitely safe. There is a very incestuous nature to GSO with conflicts of interest across management with employees where intelligence and alternative opinions are not valued, only blind loyalty. Previous reviews have noted that TriQuint was failing but it is actually the TriQuint filter technology that is the future of Qorvo and has provided all the growth. It's sad to know that had the merger just delayed a quarter or two, Qorvo would be a much different company.

I have been working at Qorvo full-time

    Pros

    - Won't fire you until investors are thoroughly screwed up - Stupid management with mere Bachelor's degrees from unknown third-class schools, easily manipulateable - Always free time to do whatever you want to do (study, practice, career building), hardly any projects to work on - Doing mistakes, even major screw ups, won't cost you nothing except perhaps you get more closer to Sr. Management, if any

    Cons

    - Management is pigheaded, won't listen to any of your requests - Bad culture of seniors hiding information for job security and promotion benefits - Continuous non-stop tussle between TriQuint 'hyenas' and RFMD 'bulls' - Management won't help you achieve your career goals so that you keep doing drudgery work, good to not identify your career goals

    Pros

    Great people. Decent benefits.

    Cons

Horrible mentality once TriQuint merged with rfmd. Loads of peers left because of politics and business practice. Hillsboro employees were made to feel inferior to counter parts in rfmd. Nothing done in Hillsboro was correct even though data shows TriQuint was far more successful then a failing RFMD.

    Pros

Qorvo has competitive technologies and a knowledgeable employees. Qorvo offers average pay and benefits for the area and good life/work balance.

    Cons

Qorvo seems to have two personalities (TriQuint and RFMD) and many workers are afraid of how the 300 million dollar in synergies will be attained.
