I have been working at QuEST Global full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company environment here is unlike any other. The culture is relaxed, there is moderate work throughout the day, and the flexibility is amazing.

    Cons

The benefits aren't very good at all. There is a major communication issue between the customer and company.

I worked at QuEST Global (Less than a year)

    Pros

Friendly co-workers, good managers. They really care about you and are looking how to be engaged how to build the team, even if it isn't much.

    Cons

I felt the health insurance packages were cheap and the the 401k match is not very good. Being a contractor. Very limited overtime.

    Advice to Management

Please select an insurance company that explains what the different packages cover.

I have been working at QuEST Global (More than a year)

    Pros

Small company, which means you have a big influence in shaping your experience at QuEST. The more you put into it, the more you can get out of it in terms of enjoyment and fulfillment.

There is plenty of opportunities to train across departments and learn new skills.

We are always willing to give people a chance and develop them.

Is a good stepping stone to getting a job at a customer like Pratt & Whitney, UTAS, or Sikorsky.

Relatively easy to move up and make your mark on the company or your group.

Great work/life balance and work environment is really friendly and amazing.

A lot of frustrating issues within the company but ignoring those you can find something you really enjoy doing and make a real difference within the company.

    Cons

Small company, so a lot of processes are still developing within the company, and resources to help employees aren't always available.

Training can be very difficult to get. Not enough tuition reimbursement either.

Not enough recognition for good employee performance.

No real avenues to move up besides management.

Your work satisfaction can be too dependent on your specific statement of work and customer you are working with. You may be given a lot of responsibility or very little. You may be given high level tasks or menial work.

Not enough vacation time or sick time. And if you are forced to take time off due to circumstances it will hurt your performance review even if management approved your time and you were a productive employee.

Performance reviews themselves are terrible. The biggest portion of your grade is how much time you spend at work. That's it. And other metrics are completely unrelated to your actual job.

    Advice to Management

You are too focused on growth, not enough on making lives for current employees better.

    Pros

As 2 years experience professional, I accepted the offer from QuEST Global, Inc. At QuEST Global, I've learned a lot of experience from working and handling many different projects. It's great opportunity for new graduates or less experience people to join.
    Working environment is good!

Good medical benefit - 401K is OKAY!

    Cons

Lack of training - Most of the time I had to learn by myself from external resources.
Mobility opportunity is low - Once QuEST lost contract with client, you are gone.

    Advice to Management

I've kept asking my account manager to change business strategy/direction into technology field CONTINUOUSLY from 2014, but nobody has responded. Until crude oil price impacted entire industry, it's sad that my team are broken apart

I have been working at QuEST Global full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Full time benefits are awesome
Demographic is solid for an engineering solutions company
Plenty of non-work related group activities
    Consistent Company Growth

    Cons

Compensation and 401k plans are mediocre at best

    Advice to Management

Seek ways to keep a highly capable workers around. You are hiring faster then workers are leaving but this growth is not ideal.

    Pros

Quest contracts engineers to other companies. One pro is there is flexibility on the time to complete programs. There's a good work-life balance with Quest-Global. I've been working here for a year and a half and I've enjoyed my time here. Quest-global has good health and dental insurance benefits.

    Cons

When being a contractor there is always the possibility of being let go at anytime. Also, there is the need to be a direct hire with the company being contracted to. I haven't received any raises or bonuses in the year and a half I've been here.

I have been working at QuEST Global full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Excellent work life balance, the benefits are good, but are not up to industry standards yet. The ability to advance in the company is good, but you have to want it and work hard for it.

    Cons

Poor managers from Team Leads to the North American VP level! The good ones are few and far between, and have either already left the company (Janina Rivera, Nicole Newman) or transferred to another dept/location (Kara Turner, Heather Schenkel).
HR needs to get more mature, and get help fast!
Pay is far below industry standards in many cases, unless you know someone who gets you in the door for a great salary and band to match their minimal experience.

    Advice to Management

Hire people managers who truly care about the people. People are your only asset in this business! Hire Technical Managers to manage the work and engineering aspects. Project Engineering in the biggest business in North America, NOT Engineering like everyone else thinks.
