I have been working at QuEST Global full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Colleagues are great - some of the best people with whom I have ever worked.
    Flexible work schedules.
    Excellent environment for learning.
Smaller company with the agility to adapt to changing market requirements.

    Cons

Atmosphere of virtually constant change is not good for every personality. It can be a bit overwhelming at times.
QuEST has not quite mastered global synergy yet. They are progressing to it, but there is still a lot of disconnect and communication issues.

    Advice to Management

Continue to drive global communication and accessibility. It is often difficult to know who or what department that certain questions should be directed.

I have been working at QuEST Global full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

In my time working at QuEST I was able to transition into several technical and managerial roles and see where I best fit into the company.
Coming into QuEST, there were immense growth opportunities, but you need to want them and work hard to get them, which I think should be an expectation with any company. The amount of growth QuEST has experienced is incredible, exciting, and looks promising for those who are geographically flexible or want to contribute to a growing organization where your opinion can make a huge impact.
QuEST has some of the best people I've ever worked with. I've learned and grown so much professionally since my tenure here.

    Cons

There is a lot of change in QuEST. If you are unable to manage and handle change well, then QuEST may not be the best fit for you.
Understanding and adapting to QuEST's culture is difficult for those who have a corporate mindset. QuEST culture focuses on work-life balance, variety of workload, and adaptability. While I prefer this, some may not.

    Advice to Management

Compensation and benefits have undergone a vast improvement, but management should focus on extending the longevity of tenured employees and finding ways to grow, mentor, and keep them longer. Employees who go above and beyond for the company should be recognized, rewarded, and compensated accordingly.

    Pros

Co workers are very sharp people. From engineer to executive, the team is clean, deliberate and successful.
A model for a successful engineering services firm.

    Cons

Too much competition in the marketplace.

    Advice to Management

Rapid successful growth has created growing pains throughout the back office support organizations. Correct the issues before it is too late.

I worked at QuEST Global full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working at QuEST Global was a highlights of my career. The people there are really professionals and it was nice to be part of such an excellent environment.

    Cons

Would suggest improving the 401K package - as it is a bit on the lower end in terms of being beneficial to the employee.

    Advice to Management

Keep improving the benefits to attract the best talent.

I have been working at QuEST Global full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

QuEST has an outstanding work life balance, and teaches people about the industry much faster than you would experience at a major OEM (large company). Work life balance is outstanding, they do not try to control your life, however, lots of opportunities are constantly arising for you to get different job experiences (which include travel).

    Cons

The major con is inefficient tools that take a long time to change. Aside from that, QuEST is focused on growth and profitability. This is expected in a start-up organization looking to become a publically traded organization. Many people have this as their first job and do not understand that this is standard in the industry and is part of the business cycle.

    Advice to Management

    None

I have been working at QuEST Global full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good starting salary for experienced engineers and excellent promotion and annual pay raises.
Very flexible work schedule and hours.
Management and co-workers are always helpful in almost everything work-related.
Company has lots of potential in the future - domestic and global.
Lots of room for career advancement in the management and/or technical fields.
Many locations in the US and internationally; making relocation an easy task.
Different types of work available so you are not tied to just one job or SOW.

    Cons

Lower-than-average starting pay for entry-level engineers.
HR system can be better organized and improved.
Need to weed out engineers who are incapable and not performing as they should.
Retention - retention - retention (if you scratch my back, I will scratch yours!)

    Advice to Management

Keep on driving! Find ways to bring in more "qualified" engineers and explore more growth opportunities. Sometimes you will find best qualified candidates from other non-engineering/technology fields. Thank you for making this company a better place to work, year after year - still a ways to go but we are on the right track!

I worked at QuEST Global full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

First off, it is important that you understand the outsourcing business and the QuEST business model when taking a job here. It is clear, from these reviews, that many people did not (heck, it took me a few years to fully understand it). You can easily thrive in this environment if you understand that it is about helping QuEST to grow- not just doing well on contracts you are working.
    1. Build trust with the customer and get good customer satisfaction scores
    2. Get the customers to extend their contracts
    3. Get the customers to expand their contracts
    4. Help teach team members to be successful

    Additional Pros:
-Much better work-life balance compared to OEMs
-Easy to move up the corporate ladder and increase your employability
-Overall, good culture. Leadership develops great vision and values

    Cons

    - Unless you are in sales / account management, you will not get rich working here.
    - More support for 'enablers' is needed (HR, IT, etc.)
    - More emphasis on training (technical and leadership) prior to someone taking on a new role

    Advice to Management

-More training and cultural alignment of your first-line managers.
-Continue to give opportunities to the over-looked engineers (and potential engineers)
