    Pros

The company has many talented and good, down to earth people.

    Cons

The culture...if you weren't part of the original company prior to their merging with other companies, then you are looked upon as inferior. This created an atmosphere of what can be comparable to the old "high school click clubs." The moral was the lowest of any I've seen in an extensive professional career.

    Advice to Management

Take not of your newer employees who bring with them a plethora of talent and strong work ethics and treat them accordingly.

I have been working at Quadrant HealthCom full-time

    Pros

Colleagues are pleasant, encouraging, talented, and helpful. There is a fairly calm work environment. I also acquired good work experience, and the products developed are interesting and exciting. The company's aim to help medical professionals serve their patients better is noble.

    Cons

This is not a stable work environment for new professionals because Frontline Medical Communications has a habit of hiring and firing people impulsively. There is a pattern that people in leadership are quickly hiring people and starting projects fast, only then to fire subordinates when the desired revenue is not required. Those in management are not planning to leave anytime soon. They are determined to keep their positions at any cost, even if it means firing someone underneath them or shifting wrongful blame to them.

    Advice to Management

Management is not generally interested in the professional growth of people underneath them out of fear of competition and losing their own positions. When they hire someone, they don't want to hire someone who is completely qualified for the job because it costs too much. This company has begun to show signs that it is downsizing after the merger with IMNG.

    Pros

If management is supportive it is a great place to work.

    Cons

In my last assignment as project manager I had a difficult time interacting with my direct boss

    Advice to Management

To Management of program management; Be responsive and supportive of questions so that the person asking will have a clear idea of what to do next. Do not let editor assume the responsibilities of program manager

I have been working at Quadrant HealthCom full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    It's a job. That's it.

    Cons

Below average pay, questionable payroll practices, small if any bonuses, constant contradictory information, evasiveness and downright dishonesty from upper management, an unprofessional Human Resources manager, at-will employment agreement (Defined in their handbook as the ability to fire, demote or even -discipline- you for any or NO reason at all), constant dismissal of employee concerns, lack of communication, 'cut-throat' business practices, outsourcing to India, lack of technology, do not match 401K.

    Advice to Management

It's true, you won't listen, but: You need to start respecting your employees, stop evading, and start being open and honest with them. Otherwise, your business is never going maintain talented, strong workers, no matter how many companies you buy up and gut for the sake of profits.

You need to commit to the things you tell your workers and understand what is going on in the business before trying to explain it for the sake of consistency. You will end up with only the employees that cannot do better, which is a very low bar that you have set.

I worked at Quadrant HealthCom full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some very nice, under appreciated people who work there. The location is good, as there is a lot to get to within minutes

    Cons

MANAGEMENT!!! they just don't listen They dont care what the little people have to say at all, they all feel like the belong on a pedestal. It is confusing too as the communication there is just horrific. I didn't know for a whole month who I reported too. Again, they are secretive and manipulative.

SALARY~ I took the job because I was promised more money within months, and the guy that told me was later fired (for a different reason). The salary is sooooooooooooo bad, that no one can live on it and survive. its poverty line horrible!

HR - Never met a worse HR person to represent a company, she doesn't care about the employees, and is just plain rude. I don't think she quite understands what HR represents.

LIES! it's a company based on lies and false promises, and manipulative horror.
Glad i made it out with a life and values still in me.

    Advice to Management

They wouldn't listen anyway, do what is the point?? I won't even bother wasting words. But open up your listening ears and maybe listen to the little guys, instead of having big ideas that go nowhere.

I worked at Quadrant HealthCom full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Cannot think of any pros about the job itself, only that there are several good and talented people who work there, but aren't appreciated.

    Cons

Management has no clue who really contributes to the success of the company. Those who do all the work are unappreciated, underpaid and treated like lab rats. They're the first to take pay cuts, lay offs and BS, while those who have been there prior to the several mergers, enjoy all the perks, pay, etc. while doing nothing. Horrible culture...don't waste your time.

    Advice to Management

Open your eyes and see who is really doing the work, contributing to the success of the company and treat those people with the respect they deserve. You can catch more files with honey than vinegar!

    Pros

    Fairly decent health insurance.
    Close to major highways
Better than not having any job at all...barely.
I'm not sure that I can come up with anymore pros.

    Cons

The management is pathetic and promotions are given out to the unworthy.
The salary was a joke compared to the average.
It is obvious that people hate it there based on the outbursts that happen within the office.
It is the most unprofessional place I have ever worked. People come to work dressed like slobs and bring in their bad attitudes.
Probably the worst experience I have ever had.

Oh, and the parking situation is a mess since the owner acquired another company.

    Advice to Management

    Open your eyes

    Pros

    Good benefits
Good time off schedule (holidays, PTO, flex days, sick days)

    Cons

Management is clueless about the publishing industry!
They are also woefully clueless on how to manage their human capital!
All decisions made benefit a select few.
    Accounting/payroll practices are unsettling.

    Advice to Management

Better leadership and organization within this company are sorely needed.
