    Pros

    Fast-paced, high pressured hotel and restaurant environment, regardless of position or department. Attention to detail is key for staff to succeed as well as taking ownership of your own training and the ability to truly believe in the company cultural. Every decision in the company is made with the companies 6 mission statements in mind. Again, you must believe in the company cultural to succeed - this should not be a surprise to any hire, as they hand all staff the Lucky Star handbook in the interview process - the key to your success is truly in that handbook! This a great company for a college graduate to start out at. You will learn invaluable skills that you can use anywhere.

    Cons

    Low pay and low bonus structure for salary positions compared to other markets. Be prepared for a long work week averaging a minimum of 50+ hours per week on salary pay. High Turnover in every department. Work-Life-Balance

    Pros

    I worked there for about a year and made good money. Also, some of my favorite people I have ever worked with, this is excluding management.

    Cons

    Bad hours
    Treat you like you don’t matter

    Highly structured work environment, plenty of shifts to fill, delicious food, fine-diningesque atmosphere. employee owned company

    Pros

    The money you can make as a server is great; good clientele; benefits available

    Cons

    Management has idealistic expectations; lots of promises made when you are hired, much of which is not followed through on; management acts as if the system of the restaurant is perfect, which it is not, which makes it like any other restaurant run by bigger a-holes; management expects people to achieve balance between work and life on their own, which is sort of their way of saying you need to be perfect.

    Advice to Management

    You all know everything already so there is nothing that I can tell you.

    Pros

    Friendly guest, employees like family, work to give you your time off requests.

    Cons

    Cons outweigh pros. Front desk does everything - reservations, transfer phone calls, concierge, porter duties except for driving, amenity deliveries, restocks, sales inquiries, and more. Get paid a fair amount but should be more for everything we put up with. Every now and then guests can be rude or pushy. Upper management does not do anything. They play favorites, and reprimand more than give praise. Assistant GM will talk poorly about what you did right in front of you to others, and thinks things are always negative when a guest comes to the desk, asking "what is the matter". They push their responsibilities - including training new FDA - on others. They have hired so many new people, we barely have hours now. Can barely afford rent.

    Advice to Management

    Quit hiring so many front desk agents, give praise more, and understand if we screw something up because we do so much.

    Pros

    Decent money, great way to build up your resume especially if you plan on moving up in the restaurant/hospitality industry. QW is well-known in Greensboro.

    Cons

    Long hours, expected to work doubles, no guaranteed time when your shift will end, expected to clean on your hands and knees before and after shifts, guests and “regulars” can be very prejudiced/racist/creepy and get away with it

    Advice to Management

    I highly recommend to start drug testing your employees and doing background checks....it seems they have no problem hiring/retaining employees with serious criminal records!

    Pros

    Money can be good if the management likes you.

    Cons

    Micro management from leadership and fellow servers. Most managers will talk down to you (this was a very common complaint). They expect you to get on your hands and knees to clean under your tables. No time off. Requested time off is ignored. Everyone is overworked, no time for home or social life.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees with respect.

    Lack of leadership training, lots of hours, inconsistent feedback system, majority of kitchen lacks basic culinary skills, no down time
