    Pros

If you work on the major campuses, great amenities. Nice people.

Relying too much on one OEM. Need more market share diversification.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget smaller OEMs generate business too.

    Pros

    1. Great work life balance
    2. Lots to learn, but can get absorbed and stagnated pretty quick. Bureaucracy makes it difficult to move, try out other opportunities.

    Cons

    1. Very projectized approach, not a lot of innovation in the already existing departments.
    2. Avoid legacy departments such ancient modem architectures or multimedia. You are hired as an engineer, but your real job is maintainer.

    Advice to Management

Treat young talent based on background and experience instead of internal normalized scale.

I worked at Qualcomm (More than a year)

    Pros

Some good co workers, good benefits. They used to be an awesome company. Made lots of people very rich

    Cons

Intense, some of the worse management I have ever experienced. Some directors and VPs expect their employees to work 10 to 12 hour days and always be on call, even on holidays and weekends. They hire a lot of h1b people that will work like that.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring h1b visa people when there are Americans that can do the job. And try to become a good great place to work.
