    Pros

    Good compensation. Decent perks.

    Cons

Managers take the final review call even if other peer reviews are excellent. So you have to keep your manager updated which each and every small thing.

    Advice to Management

Too much power in hands of managers.

I have been working at Qualcomm as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Many projects, smart people, good culture.

    Cons

Many projects dont see day light and are kept as backup options. So if you project gets selected to be deployed, then it is worth the work, else no one uses what you created.

I worked at Qualcomm as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company. Located north of San Diego in La Jolla. Very upscale town with beach nearby! I was a summer intern there. I loved meeting the other interns and getting to know about the company. If I could do it all over again, I would have chosen a different team to more align my work with my personal career choices. I removed one start because I think this company needs to work hard to keep itself up meaning it doesn't innovate enough! (A lot of Qualcomm's revenue comes from patents and intellectual property. This is to say the company 'compels' manufactures to pay for Qualcomm's 'innovations' instead of truly innovating and then watching the customers come running to the company to buy its cool tech.

    Cons

It's not Silicon Valley but close enough!

I worked at Qualcomm as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good work life balance. Opportunity to work on futuristic projects.

    Cons

Pay is less for CS majors compared to industry

    Advice to Management

Treat young talent based on background and experience instead of internal normalized scale.

I worked at Qualcomm (Less than a year)

    Pros

people work on cutting-edge technology.Leader in their field.Help the interns in basic requirements which helps them in adjusting in new city.Mentor and managers are very helpful.Interns can opt for their favorite team if they want to join as full time.

    Cons

Sometimes there is no predefined project for the interns. So interns do not know what to work on for 3-4 weeks. The building which was appointed to me was very dark.No proper lightings.

    Advice to Management

Management is very good overall. But they can ask the interns for their preferences before assigning them random team.

I worked at Qualcomm as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Really great experience, got to work with many very interesting people and on some cutting edge stuff. San Diego was also an amazing place.

    Cons

Company was going through some rough times. Words of layoffs and restructuring around the offices really put a damper on the whole experience.

    Advice to Management

Not much, every company goes through stuff like this eventually, but the great companies come out of it better than before. Only time will tell for Qualcomm.
