    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Qualcomm full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It's a job... Well, lots of new innovations and challenging projects, but...

    Cons

many long hours and very limited promotions, especially for its female workers in IT, engineering, prod mgmt roles. Also, lots of pocket, smaller layoffs on a regular basis (almost every other months) -- difficult to really feel secure and feel committed.

    Advice to Management

No matter the layoffs or bottom-line goals, NEED to take care of its employees, especially its TOP Performers and pay its female workers fairly and give the same opportunities as its male workers!

    Pros

    Deep technical knowledge in area
Variety of technologies to work on
Excellent company to learn more about applications of technologies

    Cons

Some efforts (new chip bringups) were brutal
Not a great culture of transparency nor feedback

    Positive Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Qualcomm full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay, good benefits, work and life are well balanced (at least for me). I get to work with some very smart people.

    Cons

Hubris and "because that is the way we have always done it". There is much too much overhead/busy work that adds no value.

    Advice to Management

Solve the problem of working in silos. PhDs are hired to invent, but the arrogance of the sales, product management and engineering teams leaves inventions by the way side.
