I worked at Qualcomm full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Qualcomm really values their engineers and tries to keep them happy. Even when upper management makes decisions that might not be the best for the engineers, the lower managers will do their best to argue for the engineers.

    Cons

Company is growing and slowly turning into another corporate behemoth with all the things that come along with that - less care for individual employees, more focus on profits and less on products, and slower reactions to the market or to changing workplace conditions.

    Advice to Management

Qualcomm has grown because of their ability to attract good engineers. Don't lose that for the sake of quarterly profits.

I worked at Qualcomm full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Not stressful, great benefits, very good location, many perks, relatively secure job

    Cons

Too many levels, too much politics, too many bad hires. Mostly working with people with low technical competency

    Advice to Management

Shrink the levels, give promotions based on merit instead of years of experience, keep employees motivated. Fewer strong and motivated employees
