I have been working at Qualcomm full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Program Analysts in RFFE are provided tremendous opportunities to prove capabilities and learn the operations process at Qualcomm.

    Cons

Stakeholders sometimes do not understand the complexity behind executing operations. There's politics that can interfere with cross-department collaboration and execution.

    Advice to Management

Provide clear mission statement and execution plan to managers, who communicate it to their subordinates.

I have been working at Qualcomm (More than 8 years)

    Pros

If you get the right boss, your experience can be pleasant. Unfortunately, in my experience, there are very few good managers at QCOM. And the executives are all heartless, greedy individuals who only care about how many zeros are in their bonuses, while they put a pay freeze and eliminate bonuses for the people who actually are "lucky" enough to not be laid off...

    Cons

Bad management, so-so benefits that get worse each year as they keep taking more and more away from the employees, too few of people to do the work therefore there is absolutely zero work-life balance. Irwin Jacobs established a company that put people first and money second. Since the Jacobs are no longer running the company, the company treats there people HORRIBLY! In my group, we have 1/3 of the employees as we did 5 years ago and twice as much work. You do the math --- Massive amount of work + a third of a workforce = 80-90 hour work weeks... with no overtime, no bonus, no raise. I wonder why the attrition rate is through the roof, and no one wants to come to the company, so positions stay open for 15 months?????

    Advice to Management

Buy one less Ferrari or beach house, so that the employees can get their well-deserved raises and bonuses (or at least don't take away our healthcare and SS benefits!) - That is if you don't layoff or outsource my job...
