I worked at Quality First Home Improvement as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Owners are very positive and motivational. Recognize their staff on a regular basis and have a lot of spiffs for sales. Can make good money if you can get in the door and close the sale.

    Cons

Managers and owners are not on the same page. One tells you to do one way and the other wants it done differently. Marketing and canvassers are paid hourly with bonus on appointments set, ran, sold, etc. Sales people are 1099. It makes it difficult to get quality leads when you don't have everyone working towards the same goal. A lot of cancellations, not home, or low-income leads.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your front line, the sales people and what they are experiencing. Interview people when they leave the company because your managers aren't always being honest and ethical. Offer mileage reimbursement, cell phone, iPad and benes as W-2 with base + commission.
