I have been working at Quality Inn & Suites part-time

    Pros

Fun group to work with, flexible hours, some good benefits, management is willing to work with anyone for employment with them

    Cons

if you do not go above and beyond, you will not get hours, sometimes management takes out anger on you, they make you sign a contract and then do not follow it.

    Advice to Management

if you have an issue with someone, bring it up right away and do not stew on it. Then others will not know what or if they did something wrong

I worked at Quality Inn & Suites full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The choice advantage system is a very user friendly system. Choice Hotels offers discounted rates for employees and their family & friends when traveling. They also have an incentive program for enrolling new members so you can earn points for each guest you enroll.

    Cons

    I could write a book

    Advice to Management

Start paying your employees time & half for overtime. If you are going to work them like slaves you should pay them the overtime pay! They deserve it plus its the law! Update the property to Choice standards if your gonna use their name and start paying the invoices to the vendors. They keep the hotel running and you should maintain a good relationship with them!

    Pros

free breakfast and free coffee , get to take home stuff people leave like shampoos and soda and what not they don't care for ,not far from where i live

    Cons

treat people differently, some girls get tips like 20$ everyday an i get rooms where they never tip they never change would make sense if each person working got different rooms , i never get breaks , never sit down only time i do is when i go to the bathroom ,they want each room done in 20 min which is ridiculous, and the coworkers steal tips , i currently work here but probably not for long

I worked at Quality Inn & Suites full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very caring Assistant General Manager who looks out for her people. She made you feel like you were family. She was "mama bear"

    Cons

Prototypical of East Indian Hoteliers, low pay, no benefits, no personal respect. The owners are there to make MONEY. They are not interested in upgrading or even upkeeping the property. If they could save 3 cents on a single sheet of toilet paper then will.

    Advice to Management

None, Mama Bear quit and moved to another chain. Owners will find another AGM to grind into bits.

I have been working at Quality Inn & Suites part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Very laid back
other people at the desk are pleasant to work with

    Cons

Manager does not know how to keep things professional, does not pay more than $9.00 an hour, even with experience, manager expects front desk to do head housekeeping, breakfast, maintenance, laundry, and front desk during your shift, no benefits, you do not feel appreciated after having 45 reservations in a 55 room hotel and nothing is shown to thank you or to appreciate your hard work. they change your hours. I was hired as full time but am only working 24 hours a week,

    Advice to Management

I would get an entirely new manager. Possibly look into finding some employees for this place so its not all on the front desks shoulders. Show some appreciation to your employees by giving the full -timers some sort of benefits or at least pay them more than $10.00 an hour so they can afford to live on their own.

I have been working at Quality Inn & Suites full-time

    Pros

Time goes by fast especially on weekends

    Cons

    Understaffed, low pay, no benefits

    Advice to Management

Tgey should Schedule 1 or 2 more employees to work at night especially on the weekends. Front desk person has to go back and forth from the desk to the laundry to attend to the guests need. If there's a maintainance complain at night, there won't be a maintainance person on duty. Gotta move the guest to a different room to solve the issue, but what if the hotel is sold out?

I worked at Quality Inn & Suites full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I am sure the company name is solid but does not mean they hold other brand owners accountable for proper procedures being followed

    Cons

Company that purchased the business name is running it's name into the ground. Will hire anybody for the job and they have no real experience in outstanding people management

    Advice to Management

If this is a legit Quality Inn go for it. Just watch for poor ownership when considering a position with this company
