I worked at Quality Inn & Suites part-time

    Pros

owner of the hotel is very good and has a wonderful ethic

    Cons

They judge you and determine who works there by who you know and not by your talent. Won't give anyone a chance and management likes to drink with customers in the restaurant. Owner says hello to the ones who have beneficial power and has no care for the employees.

    Advice to Management

Stop drinking with the customers and stop micromanaging and showing favoritism towards co workers. Management is a big title and to be a true manager you have to be respectful and not act in power. Giving people chances aside from what you hear about someone or even know is the difference in any position. Drama is left outside not brought into the workplace. Badgering a person in the workplace and talking about him or her behind their backs and creating a personal issue to the workplace is very wrong. This is discrimination which you have and are doing in the restaurant. To the owner, just because you have A business doesn't make you any better than a poor man walking down the street. Humility is needed in order for your business to work. If god took everything away from you what would you have left? Treat everyone as you would if you had nothing.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Quality Inn & Suites full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The guests, for the most part, were the only thing that made this job bearable. Even they saw how poorly the hotel was managed.

    Cons

Incompetent, drama filled management. Made it seem like more of high school than an actual job. If you didn't kiss their butts you were treated like scum.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to actually run a hotel before stepping into management positions. It's not a sorority house, and that is why your turnover rate for employees is the worst that I have ever seen.
