the supervisor changes schedual every other day to benefit her and doesn't care to ask if you care to work or can work.

    Advice to Management

care more about your guest. they are spending theitr money to stay so they should get what they pay for.

I worked at Quality Inn & Suites full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good Co-Workers, Recognition for Birthdays and Hard-work, Decent guest to front desk relations, Choice Privileges program - FREE GIFT CARDS! Down time for breaks, and fantastic GM who lives on property

    Cons

Office Politics, No assigned breaks - if its slow you get a break, if not you're out of luck, slow days with nothing to do, separation between departments, lack of communication, strict dress code, LOTS to remember.

    Advice to Management

The GM was fantastic, a leader, someone to really look up to- never had an issue with her she's hard working and will do everything from cleaning toilets to throwing birthday parties, dog showers (yes this happened) and just an overall good person.

If I had any advise to the direct management of the front desk it would be this- Work harder on building a team environment. Your employees will not trust you or want to talk to you if you can't keep things confidential, As your still training you should know you're seen as a boss not a leader at this point. A lot of "do this "do that" "don't do this" "don't do that" Many employees see that you're trying to build personal relationships with them and that's important- but a little more patients would go a long way.

  7. "Low Pay"

    Pros

None I was aware of. Oh, .25 cent raise after 90days on "Probationary period". There is a way to pay for my cell phone bill.

    Cons

training isn't paid hourly or at all for that matter. I think it's unfair and possibly illegal. Idk tho. It's a madhouse it seemed like.

    Advice to Management

Pay more per hour and pay hourly wages for the required "pre-employment" company training. Hey

    Pros

Nice and friendly environment might make a great first job for the experience.

    Cons

You will be the only person on staff sometimes making you the security, the plumber, the laundry assistant, and various duties. They pay minimum wage which is 8.25 in Illinois no one can survive off that. You wont have a set schedule and they will try to call you in on your days off.

    Advice to Management

    pay more and offer benefits

I have been working at Quality Inn & Suites full-time

    Pros

The best reasons to work here would be, the employees (when i worked there) are very nice and understanding. But just like any job you do have someone that acts better, that dont like you ect..
The staff will make your stay a pleasant one.

    Cons

The cons are that some of the rooms could have been painted. They needed new linen.. Sometimes there were not enough workers so housekeeping would be swamped.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate your employes. In the end, they are the ones that make the pleasant stay for the customers.

I worked at Quality Inn & Suites full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Coworkers and over time pay and hours given. And time given to do rooms.

    Cons

Place was a disaster. No structure, no good management. Limited on supplies and bed bugs constantly. Place needed to be remodeled badly.

    Advice to Management

Better structure and organizations. And time structure and management needed.
