Pros
The technology lines up with where the ad industry is headed, many very smart and tons of talented people. Especially in recent months, there continues to be a renewed focus on developing new products and capabilities to help us win in the marketplace. Big opportunities to develop as a professional and work collaboratively towards a common goal.
Cons
Doesn't have the same name recognition as other larger players in the space, nor do the people who know who we are fully understand the Advertise portion of the business. The technology is just as strong if not better than many of the competitors in the space, and can sometimes start the conversation a few steps further behind where it needs to be.
Advice to Management
Keep seeking top talent and focus on retaining those people, as they are one of the biggest keys to success.

Pros
Product is innovative, clients are generally happy with performance, company is well funded and has many options.
Cons
Tech can be slow moving. Executive leaders can better communicate relevant company information out to the rest of the organization but this has improved as of late.
Advice to Management
Instill a culture of trust among your sales organization. They are motivated by the same goals you are.

Pros
Joined the company a little under a year ago. I've been in the digital media space for a while now, and without naming names, I've worked at some of those pie-in-the-sky companies that people in the Bay Area dream of working for. Every place has it's pros and cons when it comes to perks & culture. No place is perfect. I always say, you need to know which things are truly important to YOU, take inventory of the... good and the bad, and if the good outweighs the bad and you're working with people you like, consider yourself extremely lucky. The job is hard, and expectations are high, and the industry is fairly complex. But people here are super willing to help, leadership is really invested in developing their existing talent (never been part of a sales org that does as much on-going training as this place does!!), and most people seems to be doing pretty well. General list of 'pros' below: +The sellers here are SO SMART. I'm constantly impressed & inspired by them. In some of my past sales roles I felt surrounded by entitled and bored sellers... this place is NOT like that, and that's my #1 most favorite thing from a culture standpoint. +Most of the sales leaders (at least within my sales channel) were originally AEs here... so, clear examples of upward mobility. +TONS of sales training. Not just on our product, but general sales stuff. +Catered lunches daily, fully stocked kitchens, etc. +Monthly happy hours +Amazing rooftop deck, beautiful views of the city, really great place to have lunch with coworkers on sunny day +lots of clubs & groups putting on various activities +I really think we have one of the best products in our space, and that's pretty key since I'm trying to sell it :) +4 months maternity leave, plus a ramp-back-in month... not something I've needed to take advantage of just yet, but it's important!
Show MoreCons
-Not dog friendly :( -We have some challenges around our tech stack in terms of sales tools... maybe I'm just used to having more, but seems like we're still in the earlier stages of selecting some of those common tools. But good news is, I think it's going to improve? -Our MBOs get adjusted fairly often. Not a huge deal, but since they do make up a small portion of our pay-out it would be nice to be more... consistent quarter over quarter vs. changing it up all the time.

Continue putting resources towards employee development! This is one of my favorite things. If you keep that, you'll continue to attract people who are hungry to learn, and those are the best people. Konrad & other leaders do a great job of laying out roadmaps often. We move quickly, and it's so exciting to get regular updates on everything thats happening now to move us into the future! I do think our CRO... could be more accessible to people within the sales org who are multiple levels below... doesn't seem like he has much interaction with individual sellers, or even some front-line managers. I think it's really important for the people at the very top to get down in the trenches every now and then so they have a more realistic understanding of our day-to-day, challenges, trends etc.

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at Quantcast full-time for more than a year
Pros
Good pay. Great perks. Flexible WFH policy.
Cons
Terrible product - Leadership is entirely removed from the actual product needs and struggles of the client facing (sales & account management) workforce. No clear vision - Prioritizing wrong products. Too many pivots. No room for growth - Very little upward movement and promotions are hard to come by. Too much turnover - Revolving door. People 1-2 years in tend to leave as there is no future opportunity.
Advice to Management
Chicago office is entirely removed from HQ. Flyover state office. Please try to make that group feel more part of the company.

Insane turnover with management. No leaders in New York. Company doesn't seem to know where it's going.
Advice to Management
Hire some real leaders in New York. Get morale back to where it was.

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo opinion of CEOI worked at Quantcast full-time for more than a year
Pros
Free lunches, extensive training, beautiful offices, career advancement, office culture
Cons
Constant change (leadership makes poor decisions that result in multiple re-orgs and layoffs in under 1 1/2 years, no clear direction (mission/goals change constantly), terrible sales leadership, lack of product advancement for the advertise side of the business
Advice to Management
If the company is performing poorly, cut the weak sellers. There are so many sales people missing quota QoQ who are still with the company while their Account Management and Support counterparts get laid off. Toxic group of sales leaders and reps.

Pros
Just finished the company all hands. We sometimes forget this is a big company that is being transformed. From where we were a year ago, I really feel the impact of all the change. The CPO (Sam Barnett) and CTO (Peter) have made a massive difference to Quantcast in the last year. It must have been hard and I like their view that "although we are much better, we are not done" Much prefer the way we run the... business. Transparent and accountable quarterly goals. Pace has significantly increased Culture is changing for the better.
Show MoreCons
Tough Q1. We have pockets of negative people.
Advice to Management
The speed of new products to market is great and this is awesome for the commercial team. In the last year we now have the market leading CMP, a very fast growing SaaS business and a plan for how to transition the business. Clients are excited! Killing all the old stuff must have been hard but we need to do more - glad they killed Q-Direct (what a disaster that was to sell)).

"Learned a lot."
StarStarStarStarStarI worked at Quantcast full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Lots of smart folks. Real exposure to big data. Lots of interesting problems.
Cons
The company culture got worse over time with new leadership. Also, the company couldn't find an exit in a timely enough fashion or figure out how to retain talent.

RecommendsNeutral OutlookNo opinion of CEOI have been working at Quantcast full-time for more than a year
Pros
- Great office space (spacious and in a great location in SF) - Catered lunch (Mon - Fri) + Happy Hours (Fridays) - Surrounded by smart/fun people - A lot of company activities and team outings
Cons
- Benefits are not competitive - Lack of self-serve platform. Still working on it... - Lay-offs when company isn't meeting quota/performance
Advice to Management
When sales quotas aren't met and leadership overpays your product/engineers, so you lay off a good amount of the Commercial organization (issue with c).
