    Pros

Great people, top notch technology, fighting spirit, and always something interesting happening - things can move pretty quickly here!

    Cons

Like many companies in this space, we're faced with virtually limitless opportunity and limited resources.

    Advice to Management

I look to management to find the right path that balances risk and reward, and trust them to place the right technology bets.

I have been working at Quantum Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people that work here are some of the best in the industry. The culture is really good and people are extremely friendly. The company is very nimble and makes it easy to be successful. People are encouraged to take ownership of their role and to give feedback to management. I feel very valued as an employee here!

    Cons

For being a 35 year old company sometimes things change fast, you need to be flexible to work here. Some of the technology is old, but the company is starting to reinvent itself, it would take some time but is going in the right direction

    Advice to Management

Some managers are often ineffective because they allow themselves to avoid seeing problems and go on believing things are good enough

I have been working at Quantum Corporation (Less than a year)

    Pros

Quantum is changing the way we look at storage and even before starting, I had read enough to know that the leadership is headed in the right direction. This is a tough industry right now, but whether I am in a meeting or on a call, the commitment and confidence in our future does not waiver.

Quantum clearly understands that being flexibility and supportive does not equate to less productivity. There is a work-life balance here like no other I’ve experienced before.

After joining Quantum, I realized it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I learn something new every day and when I do not understand something or need additional clarification, I have a huge community of support to offer assistance. Above all else, I feel like the leadership is here to help me succeed.

    Cons

There is a lot of change and misinterpretation of the reason for that change can cause unwarranted concern.

    Advice to Management

Continue participating in the present and planning for the future.

I worked at Quantum Corporation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Excellent Pay, Excellent Benefits, Extremely Resourceful, Dynamic, Focused and Aggressive Sales and Marketing Teams that develop a plan and execute with precision and success.

    Cons

Limited ramp up time with very little remote employee training and a highly geographic diverse team. Be prepared to hit the ground running with little supervision and carve your own position as you go along.

    Advice to Management

Management is excellent, very understanding and compassionate. It is important however to ensure that you understand unique conditions and when difficulties related to remote employment transpire, you respond with optimism and not skepticism.

I worked at Quantum Corporation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Interesting products
    Good benefits
    Flexible schedules
    Great coworkers

    Cons

Compensation is not close to industry standards
Constant layoffs in an attempt to be profitable leading
Lots of management layers, they layoff plenty of workers but never layoff managers (they actually tend to add layers when performing layoffs)
No direction, upper management continues to drive the company into the ground
    Stock price constantly dropping
Products, while interesting, are stagnant. There is little innovation these days
Raises and promotions are hard to come by
CEO keeps stating they are a growth company, but they only grow smaller and smaller

    Advice to Management

    Find a competent CEO
Shed some layers of management, do you really need 2 or 3 levels of vice president?
Stop pretending you are a growth company
Figure out how to sell your products

    Pros

Great benefits and talent. Good life work balance.

    Cons

Management does not appreciate the sales talent they have. Stock holders are treated far better. Change may be good but not every quarter.

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to be changed and sales management needs to be retrained.

    Pros

Work and personal life balance was great

    Cons

CEO and team not sure where they want to go. Slashing sales team and trying to do it all with less is a potentially volatile mixture for failure.

    Advice to Management

Clean house of upper management and you might have a chance.listen to your field sales team. They are closes to your customers.

I have been working at Quantum Corporation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Awesome, dedicated employees with incredible wealth of knowledge and technical knowhow, cool and robust products, good work-life balance, relatively decent benefits.

    Cons

Egocentric, blowhard, overpaid CEO out of touch with reality. should be flipping burgers, not running a tech company.
Waaay too much emphasis on sales but zero emphasis on service, support, operations, process infrastructures. Inefficient, bureaucratic, confusing processes costs big $$$$, but ignored. Improvement suggestions are blown off.
    Compensation laughable.
    Not much culture.
Being penny stock seems acceptable. Stock was once >$22, CEO seemingly happy at 60 cents.

    Advice to Management

Find a competent CEO, dump several unnecessary management levels. Send all manager to management 101 classes. Evaluate all internal processes and fix them. Stop throwing money out the window.
