    Pros

Loved my time at Quantum. Many innovative products introduced during my tenure, but the company never seemed be able to capitalize on their strengths. The market interest for our product technologies was strong. Virtual Tape libraries, StoreNext filesystem, Intelligent Tape Libraries, and LTO garnered strong interest. Management are smart people with missing ingredient, not sure what it is.

    Cons

Pay at risk scheme - all the risk on employees. In 7 years never got the full "At risk" percentage. Senior management seems perpetually unable to sell their vision to Wall St. In spite of Virtual Tape libraries, StoreNext filesystem, Intelligent Tape Libraries, and LTO we could not make any money. Many layoffs and eventually service and support are now outsourced to 3rd party.

I have been working at Quantum Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Work-life balance and flexibility is good for most, although Quantum can go overboard with the flexibility. However, they need to do that to retain people.

    Cons

CEO and other senior executives are over-compensated for the results they are producing.

    Advice to Management

    Company desperately needs new leadership.
