I have been working at Quantum Global Technologies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Small company with a lot of things that you can put the hands on.

    Cons

Too much work and you have to do everything from beginning to end where other places have segrigation of duty and each department is responsible for their works. However, you have to fix the IT problem and before you get into your own work. Not much growth in house.

    Advice to Management

Please made a strategic plan, vision for the company and work towards it.

    Pros

I don't have anything good left to say. Good to have a paycheck as long as the bank doesn't mess up and not make everyone's direct depost.

    Cons

Challenges are staying positive. Has huge issue with employee relations. Major focus is making the numbers. No on-site HR. Too many cons to list.

    Advice to Management

Layoff entire peronnel, offer decent seperation packages for starting over and close down sites.

    Pros

I liked the people I worked with as well as my immediate boss. They kept me employed for 4 years so I guess that is a plus.

    Cons

They expect way to much for what they pay people, it's either feast or famine on overtime, you either work EVERY weekend or you have to get approval for the 1 or 2 hours a week you need in order to get your job done.
Always changing and rearranging, which makes things chaotic. Always changing the rules so you never know what to expect from day to day.

    Advice to Management

Mellow out and let people do their jobs. Less micromanaging.

I worked at Quantum Global Technologies full-time

    Pros

There are so many opportunities in information technology to make a difference that can increase efficiency and profitability.

    Cons

They promote people based on their length of service. The peter principal has taken over. People that were great where they were position wise, are now terrible in their new positions and have no idea how to do what they are supposed to do. As you know the peter principal states "Employees only stop being promoted once they can no longer perform effectively, and "managers rise to the level of their incompetence." Welcome to Quantum clean. The biggest con is if you are good and know what you are doing they take all the things you point out that have been done wrong in the past as personal attacks. Than they attack you and force you out. Does not value integrity, truth, and people that know what they are doing.

    Advice to Management

Either train, reorganize or fire the entire Information technology department. Be more involved to make it hard for them to lie to you and keep critical information from you. Stop putting your head in the sand when ex employees write you and tell you what is going on.

Not organized, system and records not well maintained, not employee friendly.

I worked at Quantum Global Technologies full-time

    Pros

Decent pay, somewhat flexible work hours, potential bonus if you last long enough to receive

    Cons

hire and fire environment for all, management is cowboy-style as several leaders are from Texas after all, shoot from the hip style decision-making at all levels, Phoenix site is located next to a garbage dump/really rough side of town, break room is a dump itself, lots of problems with IT systems and equipment which hold back your job, no vision or plan so people get hired before budgets are finalized, lots of safety violations in production, value low-achieving good ole boys over new young professionals, very little feedback from supervisors when needed -holding back progress, highly deceiving management and take advantage of talents and ideas on short-term basis and then "let you go" for erroneous reasons after they get what they want out of you to avoid paying unemployment

    Advice to Management

don't hire people unless annual plan and vision is in place first, think out your ideas long-term before assigning projects, diversify your business model and customer base not to be dependent on 1 or 2 major players
