I have been working at Quark full-time

    Pros

Despite having a 30+ year history of software development, the company has successful repositioned itself as an innovative startup in the content automation market. It's a fun environment to work in, a flat management structure, everyone's opinion matters, and every employee can make an impact on the success of the business. it's packed with bright people who care passionately about what they do.

    Cons

While it's great to have a global brand it's a challenge as the company is often known for what it did in the past driving the revolution in desktop publishing rather than what it does now - streamlining the content lifecycle from creation to consumption. Changing brand perceptions is hard and takes time.

    I worked at Quark full-time

    Pros

Great technology and opportunities for learning new skills. The culture was fun and the people are pretty great. Compensation and benefits were good, and just an overall good place to work.

    Cons

Some of the teams historically promoted a hero culture, so a few people had an inordinate amount of influence based on outmoded thinking and this really held back greatness.
