Excellent set of benefits, Skilled and intelligent engineers Engaged CEO A high pace workplace in a thriving company where you'll meet and work alongside some of the smartest people in the industry. It's founded by 4 exgooglers and you'll see that reflected in the culture and workspace - you'll enjoy a wide variety of perks with a relaxed, but focused work ethic. Furthermore Qubit work frequently with new technology and employees are encouraged to try and experiment with new projects. The stack will change rapidly and you'll be given plenty of opportunity to contribute to it's design, the team structure is quite flat and the communication is excellent.
Cons
Nothing to mention here really

Great for autonomy and growth
Nov 28, 2019 - Senior Software Engineer in New York, NYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I worked at Qubit for a few years in engineering and always felt I had the opportunity to grow and learn. Management is protective of it's engineers, there's not too much pressure leaking from other teams to build fast and dumb. The team has a lot of talent, and puts a lot of emphasis on building solid products using the latest technologies.
Cons
Similar to places like Google, there can be a lot of flux. Projects can be cut short to work on something more pressing, or new.

Pros
* Lots of responsibility with cool clients * Possibility of travel * Visionary and exciting CEO who loves Qubit
Cons
* Company is too focused around sales and product. No other departments matter * Professional Services doesn't provide any progression for their engineers * Big problem with employee retention. People leaving almost every week * Middle management in the company is too busy socialising with each other, forgetting about bigger issues and their employees * Compensation structure is completely out of balance * Company is in big trouble if professional services crumbles, but this issue was ignored

Best place I've ever worked
Jan 14, 2021 - Anonymous Employee in London, EnglandRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I get to work on cutting edge technology, the leadership team seem to really care about our well-being, especially during this recent period. Business seems to have a lot of energy and momentum at the moment and it's a really nice culture. It feels like we've gone from strength to strength recently and we've really thrived having come together as a business during the remote working and Covid. We have also had quite a restructure of the leadership team over the last 12 months which has made a huge positive difference.
Cons
Not really a Con but it's a demanding place to work. The people are smart and straight talking. You've got to be good to work at Qubit and you need to bring your A game every day.

Engineering at qubit
Dec 18, 2015 - Software Engineer in London, EnglandRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Qubit is the best place I've ever worked. Full to the brim of smart creative people and perhaps even more rare is the great leadership. By that I mean its an engineering led culture where talent thrives and you are given lots of autonomy and ownership. They value the right things. Flexible hours, regular 121s with founders and team leaders. Probably the best thing though is the opportunity to work on such interesting and challenging products and services, with programming challenges that make other jobs pale in comparison. We also have a lot of fun. The stats team recently built a table football slack integration that manages player rankings through some bayesian model and even features a predictive analytics engine.
Cons
Some people prefer a more corporate and regimented/structured culture in which case Qubit probably isn't for them. Its pretty dynamic and more of a startup like culture.

Great people, poor leadership
Apr 27, 2018 - Anonymous Employee in London, EnglandRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Some of the best people you'll ever work with. Strong product Excellent client references, and some great case-studies
Cons
There's far too much churn, both in terms of employees and clients. Progression is limited, and there's no chance to transition into a managerial role due to the sheer number of middle managers at Qubit. It's also difficult to understand what many of these managers offer in terms of value. The space is extremely competitive, and Qubit's competitors love to discount aggressively which impacts deal sizes. Far, far too many meetings with no outcome. This comes back to the layers of middle management, who fill their diaries with meetings to appear busy. Opaque decision making at the C/senior management level. Most worryingly, Qubit seems to have lost the culture which made it such a unique and engaging place to work.

Great organisation to work for - you are encouraged to share ideas, learn and grow! I absolutely love working at Qubit - the employees are rewarded for their hard work and you feel valued as an individual. I have seen product go through great transition in last 12 months and Qubit has amazing clients you get to work with! I will definitely recommend Qubit as an employer to others.
Cons
Qubit is growing like any other small organisation there are teething issues with processes.

It's not perfect, but perfect is boring.
Oct 13, 2017 - Director of Professional Services in New York, NYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
First of, I've worked at Qubit for 5.5 years - and no one stays at a company that long if it hasn't given them something. For me, that something was professional growth and being challenged. In those years, I've also seen the good, the bad and the ugly - so I will try to be as objective as possible. Secondly, I've worked for them in London, New York and LA - so I have a good understanding of the global business and the local differences - they are important to consider. So let's get into it. The good: 1. The people - and you see this come back in pretty much every review, so take it from me. The people are amazing. Period. They are smart, driven, creative, collaborative and fun - that goes for pretty much everyone, but client facing teams in particular (I may be a bit biased as I worked in a client facing team...) 2. Being challenged - This may differ a bit from geo to geo, but in the high growth areas of the company (continental Europe & US) a lot will be thrown at you and if you are like me, you'll love it. You'll be able to take ownership, receive a tonne of exposure and work on big accounts/projects. You'll be pushed and there is still the a communal feeling of the original mantra 'Voice it, Own it, Do it' initiated in the early days by the CTO. 3. The product & Industry - Internally we may not always have appreciated it, but the product and the industry are objectively pretty exciting. Our engineering team is truly incredible and you get exposed to how we apply and create really innovative tech. I think it says enough that our Product Managers get to speak at Google conferences, as Qubit has one of the most sophisticated applications of their tech. Also, there is a lot happening in ecommerce, so again, it's a great space to be in.
Cons
All right... so moving on to the 'bad & ugly'. 1. Pivots & GTM strategy - Though it's not a small company anymore, Qubit is still a start-up in terms of figuring out what space in the room we want to claim. They've made a lot of progress, but you may be subject to changing product names, discontinued products, change in focus etc. There is also something to be said for being agile in this highly competitive space, however, if change sounds frustrating to you, this may not be the right place. 2. Senior Management - This really depends on where you are... and again, A LOT of progress has been made. The Global and UK management team is pretty solid. Europe is being built up and also looks very promising. The US however, has been subject to a lot of movement (definitely improvements) but currently lacks solid local leadership and the quality is yet to be determined. So... if you are interviewing for a individual contributor role, I would do my due diligence. If you are interviewing for a leadership role... LUCKY YOU. You'll get to work with an amazing global management team and lots of ownership to define what the US org should be. 3. Communication to & from London - This is the case with any global org, but you'll definitely feel that the London HQ is the HQ. Qubit can do a better job at including and making growth markets a priority. Appreciate that a meeting over some suboptimal conferencing tool, is not the same as F2F time together. Make an extra effort when training and engaging remote individuals and at the same time, realize that there is a TONNE of valuable information that the smaller offices can provide.

None. Can't think of any. Qubit is a great company that takes care of its employees. With the company growing at a fast pace there are plenty of career opportunities.
