It's exciting to see Qubole... win deals in the trenches in a really competitive space, because of the technology and support model

I have to say, I agree with all the good and the bad reviews to varying extents. I will aim to give a very accurate view for your consideration as you explore a career at Qubole What works for the company 1) Some of the very smartest brains as your peers 2) Very positive customer feedback. As someone who meets with customers, prospects, and competition all the time, the product is strong 3)... Accountability and space to challenge yourself 4) Competitive pay & benefits Equally important, what works for the ecosystem 1) Big Data on Cloud market is booming 2) The innovation in the space is very rapid and that sets the tone for urgency internally and externally

- For folks who have not seen an organization through its scaling challenges, it could be frustrating - Mistakes made along the journey are frustrating and you will see that in the reviews. Quite a few have been rectified. If you know someone inside, speak to them before you make a decision to join/ pass - Yes, some people are leaving. Some of it is unfortunate, other is inevitable as any organization scales... - Be prepared for changes to your role, your leaders and your product. The market, the scale and skill levels might be forcing some of these changes - It does not seem to be a predictable cozy expense-splurge startup job. On the +ve side, you will learn a lot about getting things done

Pros

Qubole is right in time of big data revolution. It is earning great customer traction making analytics as easy as pie. Office space is full of energy and great quotes - "talk is cheap, show me your code". Cafeteria on the top is full of food, Xbox, Table tennis, foosball and dart board. Each employee efforts are recognized by rewards and appreciation, creating healthy competition and growth.
