    I worked at Queen's Medical Center full-time

    Pros

State of the art hospital, good providers

    Cons

Management have no clue in what they are doing. Too much favoritism. Wrong people are being promoted and advanced while higher educated and smarter people have to look for better opportunities outside.

    Advice to Management

Stop advancing people you know and start advancing people who've worked hard for it. In the end, the hospital is the one suffering.

I worked at Queen's Medical Center full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Salary and worked with some very talented physicians and surgeons.

    Cons

Very stressful work environment and team dynamic was awful. Often learned by osmosis and dedicated off hours reading rather than any efforts made to teach by team leaders. Team leaders that lead by intimidation, poor communication, and blaming others. Seeing every eventuality as a problem rather than an opportunity to improve. Inadequate or nonexistent sign out of patients made job much more stressful than it needed to be.

    Advice to Management

Select team leaders that wish to serve in that role and lead by example of mutual respect, facilitating communication at all times regarding team member roles and tasks. Provide additional training and opportunities to do more procedures that are expected as part of our roles.
